I don't use it, but I have read it on occasion. It's as quiet on the Everton board as this site, now you've ****ed off most of the regulars that is.
Really, you were hardly a massive crowd before or after i returned. I did read this on occasion and you were as abrasive in the past as you are now
No, I meant you'd cleared ja606, it used to be busy, it's now dead...........I didn't need a fishbone diagram to figure out the root cause As for abrasive? pot, kettle and black my friend.
Makes you think about who could have made these sites so popular You drive them away from here and......
Do you think he'll go now that he's put in a transfer request? Looks like it'll be a cracking fee if he does go.
I expect it to be rejected to be fair. no matter the fee, we couldnt get in a suitable replacement with the time we have left and the fee will be highly inflated for any target we look at now.
I agree, it's great getting the money but with no replacement it would leave you in trouble, they should have got this sorted earlier if they really wanted him.
you mean Everton should have, if they were going to sell him, they should have done it earlier. If they dont want to sell him, then they are doing the right thing. For what its worth, I think we will probably get him this window, albeit late, whats probably happening now is the Everton folk are discussing whether they should let him go and whether they will be able to find a replacement for him given the time left and the money they will have.
I just think that all the dancing about needs to be sorted out, it seems clubs have become terrible and negotiating with each other. For example Chelsea don't make a bid they enquire and make a statement that they are extremely interested and would like to know the required amount to buy Stones. Stones is informed and asked if he is interested in moving. Everton advise Stones and Chelsea of the fee and the clubs thrash out a deal. This seems a little more sensible other than the cuture of £20m? No! £25m? No £30? No! Not for sale now, Oh! £40M? Stones now puts in a request, Everton still say no and we continue.
Well the bottom line in this case was that Everton don't want to sell, no matter what we offered. The only thing that could change the nature of the whole thing was whether Stones himself spoke out and wanted to leave, which, until yesterday, he hadn't done. Whether this will make Everton change their tune or stick to their guns remains to be seen. But Everton were adamant they weren't going to sell. Hence why we kept coming back with ever increasing offers.
I'm not saying it's you lot in the wrong more that the whole process is messed up, like I said Stones should have been told straight away and his feeling sought, if he wanted to go give Chelsea a figure it's then down to them to hit it or get close enough for Everton to accept.
Well yeah if Stones wanted to leave he should have spoken out earlier for sure. Not quite sure why he waited until Everton had rejected 3 bids before he made his feelings known. Maybe he was hoping they would sell without a request so he could pick up a payment. Correct me if I am wrong, but if a club sells a player, the club give the player a pay off, the size of which depends on how much time he had left on his contract. But the player forfeits this pay off if he hands in a transfer request right? Maybe he was hoping he would get the pay off. What happens in cases like this, is the buying club (in this case my club, Chelsea) contact Stones' agent and say, "If Stones hands in a transfer request, WE will give him a signing on fee to match the pay off he would have got from Everton", so then the player hands in a transfer request. Thats probably what happened.
Again this highlights how complicated transfers have become, both clubs and players/agent are making it an overcomplicated affair.
