I don't agree with you mate.

tbh I don't know what public dressing down you refer to but making it public isn't the way to go. All we need to know, as fans, is, it's been dealt with [whatever 'it' happens to be].

I don't even need to think baout it.

I think 18k per week is a great budget for squad morale boost here.

Is he lost....or just a total ****ing conman? <whistle> If ever a footballer was all image and no substance it's Mario....and it's all down to him and his appalling work ethic. He's lazy.

Again, Rodgers takes the rap for many things but really any sympathy in this situation should be given to BR for having this lazy gobshite foisted on him <ok> Of all the deals Ian Ayre has ****ed up...why couldn't he have missed out on this one? <wah>

there was nobody esle ever going to gazzump us for him was there.

AC milan must have had all fingers and toes crossed and had a giant bunga bunga party when the fax with 16mil came in

What a joke this has all been. Wonder what the buy price option is next summer? Token few mil? And we're still paying some of his wages this season

He was a very talented youngster and also started his adult career well but seems to have lost the desire. We'll never know how he would have performed If he'd played every game. Tales from his childhood show repeatedly that he gives back the effort put in to him. We know he's got issues from his childhood and while that should play no part in how he performs on the football pitch and in training or whatever, it's evident he works differently and it informs his life on a daily basis.

IMO Balotelli at £16 mill was seen as a bargain because he's high profile and was seen as a replacement for Suarez, but the warning bells were ringing at City when he was there. They should have been heeded and they weren't. If the plan was to mould the guy and educate him as Suarez was educated - in terms of psychology and attitude - it was a non-starter. Whoever pitched on him wants his scouting credentials seriously scrutinising. MB was shown up to be a mad doughnut with some footballing talent at City but with no real brilliance - a kind of an 'it' player. He's too selfish and too lazy and I'm sorry but put him up alone or up front with Pele and it wouldn't work. Don't know where he'd fit tbh.

Heard tell that BR didn't want him. Who was responsible, MITO, do you know? Was it Ian Ayre? If so why hasn't he been binned off?

    nobody wants to admit it.

The rumour was a choice was offered to rodgers at the time. E'tto or badontelly.

this was after shanchez said **** off and lfc then bought Markovic for 20mil.

I am not sure if the plan was to buy him and leave us 16mil or whatever or nobody wanted the other options out there...

    but...............

If such a choice was offered then it had to be ayre AND gordon and rodgers picked one... he should have said no ****ing way so he has a hand in it.

the committee membership is pretty clear... whats not clear is if they tried 5/6 other targets and ended up saying hey brendan.... here's the two we are left with... thats the murk.

but so far nobody i know on said committee has been fired.... which simply astounds me.

Mike gordon must have enough egg on his face in it someplace cos to me i'd have fired the head scouts.

Markovic, now he was not too bad last season - not great, but not too bad, age considering.

They want to get shot of this transfer committee, it's a blasted disaster.

some papers have rodgers as the guy who really wanted to "turn him around" and called rodgers the "welfare officer"

Others say he got a **** choice of two i'd refuse on.

For those that say he has no hand in the transfers I disagree, but I reckon he was acclaimed for turning Suarez around and maybe thought he could do the same with Balotelli. No chance.

    himself...

well this is a guy in the press calling rodgers the welfare officer and on about how he spent 3 hours in with balotelli filling him full of shote and how deluded rodgers was etc etc.

We just don't really know still who decided this was a great idea do we?

balotelli... I thin the AC milan coach should go nuts in the press if they bring him in

Rodgers was given the credit, but I don't know the ins and outs of what reallty happened, of course. LS was persuaded to stay, but it was no accident he pulled his socks up and put himself on the world stage by scoring goals, a bit like Torres before he buggered off. It was a marketing ploy IMO but then when you consider what we bought with the money...<doh>

Anyway, LS didn't turn round completely, he bit someone in the World Cup
