Yes, and didn't they have a goal disallowed? Ramsay? Can't comment if it was right to disallow it tbh as I didn't see the match. One plus is that I didn't see much tweeted about Ozil and Sanchez and it seems the defending was better, though I saw lots of tweets berating Skrtel

we did... we really struggled to get and hold the ball.

arsneals's own press and speed of passing increased dramatically after half time... but we could have deffo got one second half and in the first coutinho could have had 3.

had he protected the ball he could have had 2 pens but he allowed the defender sight of the ball and they brushed him off it.

one worldie save from cech and one which was frankly poorly hit by benteke that chech saved well but not amazing.

Overall..... arsenal are not all the way there but they were not that bad... people hear wenger and say ok he's talking about being shte but in reality at the standards he is talking they'd have beaten most of the prem below top 6 last night.... they will improve.

Glad to get this tough fixture out of the way.

Twitter was very negative but then it usually is when we're on the back foot and you never know who to believe <laugh>

    Cech was a git so I understand...!:emoticon-0121-angry

I hear it's quite exciting following the match on twitter. You get vines of the goals up very quickly - that right?

yes but i felt is was marginal so they can whine but it was not clearly onside nor clealry off.

Sanchez as decent.... ozil is too one paces for a game like this. he showed plenty of good touches but we always had someone there to get the block etc. Sanchez pace is scary but clyne stood up mostly to it

Gomez stood up pretty well too...

Skertl wasn't that bad... he got booked so dropped off a bit but he did ok... a few scary moments here and there when to clear it etc but he did his business.

    nobody played badly.

It is, but people start arguing and falling out very quickly: opinions are very rapidly divided. A lot of people berated Ibe last night (in fact most people) and said Firmino wasn't much good though a lot said he was doing OK. Big thumbs up for Gomez, though.

I agree with that, MITO. If you haven't got Sky Sports (I haven't) or BT Sport (I have) and have to watch a stream you can't flick from one to the other then tweet without missing the action. From what I can gather most people on Twitter use the streams. Last season I would listen to the match live on LFC TV then it went premium on Virgin so I can't do that any more! <doh> I confess I have watched live on BT and tweeted, but you do miss some action even then

It's modern technology though isn't it. A bit like videoing events - so you sort of miss the live action but have it recorded to look at forever.

Thought we played very well but I will say this.....

We've paid double the money for another Balotelli.

Erm, not sure if this is a joke or not? Benteke has already offered far more than Balotelli did in any of his games with us (plus matched his goal scoring record)

Bentrke was immense bar the miss. Held the ball well, won everything in the air, linked up well with Coutinho and offered decent movement and even pressed the defence a lot more than I expected.

Benteke has had one bad game and two decent ones. That's already looking better than Balotelli. He's had one more good game already.

A top striker should be getting a goal every other game on average. He hasn't scored a legal one yet, but he's come close lots of times.

He may not be Torres/Suarez/Sturridge good... But he looks like he will be far better than Balotelli.

Beck, if he's only as good as Cissé it will be a big step up.

think we vastly over rate sturridge sometimes.

    He's not that good.

torres and squarez were worldies. 50 mil and 75mil

    sturridge is not that.

the work rate and effort from benteke is already a million times better than that italian fraudster will ever show.

I didn't mean to imply Studge was as good as them. However, that said, he's in the top 3 or 4 strikers in the Premier League (when fit). If Benteke can be that good I'll be elated.

I think Benteke will score 15-20 league goals on a regular basis if he plays 38 a season. As people say, he is a 1 in 2 striker at the moment which in the Prem you can't complain about. Only really Aguero constantly outdoes that
