Looks like Dummett may be fit, if so it could see either Willo's cup availability protected, or preferably the beginning of the benching of Massiveretardo Haidara

Seriously, Haidara is a kid who's had a tough time with injuries, this is his first run in the team for ages and he's got better game by game this season.

    Give him a break.

good time to give Lascelles a run out isn't it ? He is established at Championship level so should be able to deal with Norhthampton and let Mbemba put his feet up.

Sorry fella I just don't rate him. Certainly wouldn't have wished injuries on him and of course some of my stuff is just jovial tongue in cheek.

He's 23 this year too. So the time for being called a kid is soon to have passed. If your career was to run from 18 to 35 on average - he's a about a third done. The question is has he improved over the last 3 years - the answer is no. Now people can run any excuse they like from the lazy one about coaching (while others improve), or injuries to whatever you like. Some of it has to come from the player.

There is no point in pretending I think he can cut it. He has certainly got better this season but going from a rating of 3 to 6 (my personal opinion I realise you disagree), it is hardly anything to get excited about . You can't have his technical level and play in the PL, he has still miscontrolled a ball out of play in every game. Defended badly in every game at some time or other. He whips one good cross (and it is usually a very good one) in twenty.

I'll give him a break when he warrants one. Just a forum fella where we get to call it as we see it. We won't agree about every player. I think others get a rough ride off some. I think players like Colo or HBA get or got extra protection from fan boys for no good reason. We all see it differently. He definitely gets a rough ride from me because I think he deserves one for his play. I don't dislike the lad or think he has a bad attitude. I just think he's ****.

Haidara is like Willo. There is just no place for them if we want to improve.

Decent line up. Shame Gouffran starts, would much rather have sold him and have Abeid.

I'd have gave Mitrovic an hour to see if he could open his scoring with us and fire him up for Arsenal. Can only assume he's putting Williamson & Gouffran in the shop window but would have liked to see Kemen get a start.

Thauvin after 3 minutes, not a bad start! I think a 3 or 4 could do our confidence wonders!

I hate that they shut off Radio Newcastle when a match is being played. Miserable ****ers, what about us who live outside of the North East?

Tiote at fault for giving the penalty away, is he still lacking match fitness or just gone completely to ****?

De Jong gets the 2nd before Tiote gives a penalty away with hand ball.
