Thought I'd get in on this one. I think you are looking at the player Can might well be in the future more than the player he is now. He has a lot of potential and needs to play in order to realise that potential but at this moment in time there is nothing he does better than Henderson. I'm not even a huge fan of Henderson so there's no bias.

 

If you "debate" with Jimmy as much as I do, you'll notice that happens quite regularly

 

Because Hendo is a CM. Matic is a DM. Surely you want your CM to actually be able to run with the ball and do things wit it?

You can't compare the two.

That's what you're doing with Can and Sakho, judging them on hype and opinion and not on what they actually do on the pitch.

 

Usually its more of a case of underhyping the players he simply doesn't like no matter how they perform; aka the scapegoats

 

I wouldn't like that as I don't believe time machines work, and we'll all be stuck in a telephone box together arguing about who's better Can or Hendo, and Gomez and Flanno for days and days....

 

Sakho came into our defence last season and we went on a great run. As soon as he came out, we struggled. Same with Can.

Can has changed the game twice in two games, and played a big part last night.

I'm not overhyping. I merely appreciate players who don't just simply work hard, but can also contribute in more meaningful ways.

I do think Can can play that role but I wouldn't want him to because he's too talented to be shackled.

 

So.. based on that, Lucas had a great game yesterday? Won the ball and gave it to others to be creative with or did him daring to put in 100% effort downgrade his mark to barely acceptable?

Never said our players are better than others, but I don't look lovingly, lusting after those that don't play for LFC, I can admire players that play for other teams, that's all part of being a fan of footy but I support LFC, so, under the fans guide book, I'm unashamedly going to be a bit biased towards my own.. I make no apologies for it..
Don't take this as a subtle "go support someone else" message, because it isn't... Just every now and then, appreciate who we have..

You slated Skrtel before we changed the system and then praised him after crediting the change in system. However, the system isn't the reason when looking at Can or Sakho...?
