Tosser! Got to wait until I get home, will watch it before fetching the mrs (nm) prior to watching the football #plannedevening
Downloaded the first ep of FTWD. Will watch it when I get home on my ****ing phone!!!!!!! My PC, that cost me £1300 only 18 months ago, seems to have a motherboard problem! grrrrrrr. Luckily it has a 3 year warranty.
Been watching that Show Me a Hero ... not finished it yet but really good watch it lads What are peeps thoughts on FTWD then?! Come on!!
Actually quite liked FTWD. People who moaned about it not being "very action packed" are ******s. This episode was a) Introducing us to the characters, all of them, in the WD pilot we only really got to know Rick and Morgan, in this one we had loads of characters to get to know. And I can say it worked, I actually care for them a bit already, especially Travis, Nick and Madison. b) We knew from jump Street it was going to start JUST as the Zombie Apocalypse kicks off, so too much action too soon (like in the Dawn of the Dead remake for example) would have felt rushed and pointless. I am really looking forward to seeing the slow collapse of society and the fall of the military and other authorities and the ultimate collapse of civilisation. In the original series we missed all that because Rick was in a coma, and he woke up a couple of months into the apocalypse when everything had already gone to ****. Why people would just want "another" Walking dead is beyond me, I want something different, and am happy with that I got in this pilot, so I give it a
Totally agree lad ... i thought it was well paced and i like how the collapse is slow-drip rather than full-on deluge ... like how people initially think the zambies are bath salts crazies and it's up on social media I'm going to enjoy seeing the world fall apart, in TWD yeah you don't even get the immediate - mid-term aftermath, rather the period quite a bit after when people are already settled into life after the arrival of zambies. But that was the shock for Rick... sleeping through it and having to come to terms, now the shock will be the end of society itself in FTWD And I really liked how we get the pov of the heroin addict kid ... so he's questioning his sanity as are the people around him, even though he knows that it's real. Thought the other characters were well realised, especially his dealer
Thought Alecia's text to her boyfriend were funny when they agreed to meet on the pier. "I am here" "Where r u?" "You had better be dead" "I am leaving". careful what you wish for love. lol
Also her boyfriend was played by the kid who played Randy in the Wire. Just thought i'd throw that in there.
