Speaking as a god fearing Scottish sicialist nationalist Presbyterian and the only sitting MP in this hell hole of a place I would like it to be known that Mr Corbyn has my full support in his quest for the leadership of the Liability party. In fact I have even went as far as too join the party under an assumed name, Mindy McSporran C/O Kelly's bar Cleland, so I can vote for the chap. For once Corbyn is in place and labour become even more unelectable the Independent socialist Presbyterian utopian state of Scotland is but a heartbeat away. Hoooraaaa
Anyway, I kinds hope Corbyn does become Labour leader. It would mean that some of the trad Labour votes in Scotland would go back to Labour which would weaken the SNP.

If he gets his way, people far too disabled or sick for full-time jobs will be hounded to squeeze in as much part-time work as they can between their treatment and therapy sessions. The hated Work and Pensions Secretary claimed to be helping the sick – because work is “good for your health”. But the SNP and Labour said his latest assault on the poor was driven by right-wing dogma. Labour Shadow Scots Secretary Ian Murray branded it “morally reprehensible”. And a charity who help the mentally ill – who are among Duncan Smith’s main targets – said his latest onslaught risked making their illnesses worse. Billy Watson of the Scottish Association for Mental Health said yesterday: “It would be unjust of the UK Government to force people to ‘take any work they can’. “It could result in a deterioration of their mental health.” Duncan Smith outlined his new idea to members of the right-wing Reform thinktank – in a speech delivered at the plush London HQ of private bankers Barclays Wealth. He said: “ESA may have been designed with the right intentions, but at its heart lay a fundamental flaw. It decides that you are either capable of work or you are not. “Two absolutes equating to one perverse incentive – a person has to be incapable of all work or available for all work.” Duncan Smith said he wanted to change the system so a disabled person has to do some work even if a doctor says they can only manage a couple of hours a week. As always, he claimed to be helping the people who will bear the brunt of his plans. And he suggested that too many people with “common” mental illnesses were relying on benefits when they could be earning a wage. The Tories divide people on ESA into two categories, with those they deem capable of doing some work in the future placed in the “work-related activities group” (WRAG). They are made to jump through hoops, such as attending interviews, to get the cash they need. Only the most seriously sick and disabled are put in the “support group” and get benefits without pressure to prepare for work. Chancellor George Osborne announced in June that he was slashing the benefits of people in the WRAG group by £30 a week. And Duncan Smith’s speech suggested thousands more seriously ill and disabled people will soon lose out. He has already cut working age benefits by £7billion since 2010 and has vowed to cut another £12billion during this Parliament. He said: “Ruth Davidson’s Tories need to stop cheerleading for these welfare policies and accept that it is their party’s policies that are making life worse for thousands of vulnerable Scots.” SNP welfare spokeswoman Eilidh Whiteford said Duncan Smith’s latest attack was “ideologically driven” and added: “Once again, it is society’s most vulnerable who will suffer most.” Whiteford told Duncan Smith to finally heed calls for a major independent review of his reviled “work capability assessments” to create a system which actually helps people into work rather than “a vehicle for removing their benefits”. He championed the notorious “fit for work tests” which took benefits from tens of thousands of seriously ill and disabled people only for the DWP to have to give them back on appeal. And he still defends the cruel sanctions regime which stops needy people’s benefits for often trivial or spurious reasons, leaving them destitute and having to rely on food banks. But perhaps his most notorious policy is the bedroom tax, which punishes poor people for living in homes with spare rooms even though they have nowhere else to go. The Daily Record campaigned against the tax, and the Scottish Government acted to protect people here from its effects. Duncan Smith also closed 51 of the 54 Remploy factories around the UK which provided work for disabled people, including all seven factories in Scotland. He scrapped the Independent Living Fund and cut payments for the disabled access to work scheme. And as yesterday’s speech showed, he is far from finished.

Burnham getting called a "sexist" for saying Labour should only have a female leader "When the time is right" Which is surely him saying there aren't currently any viable female candidates, in his opinion, and they shouldn't vote a female in on the basis of gender alone. Which would be inherently sexist in and of itself.
