Can will play holding - no disputing that. I don't agree with it but I know it will happen.

Yes, Lucas is easily replaced - IF we bring in a proper DM or someone who can play DM.

All I said was was Henderson missed in midfield? IMO - no he wasn't. Just as Lallana wasn't missed.

Do you wanna know why? Because Firmino is better than Lallana, and Can is better than Henderson.

Why does everyone want to replace Lucas suddenly? Didn't most of you already want Can there anyway?

Might be that Rossiter nails down his place on the bench.

Still quite happy with the performance last night. We seem to have more fight in this team.

Love Migs wasting time, Clyne and Milner are really in your face, and Benteke elbowing and bullying defenders.

Got to admit Jimmy, Clyne is the best FB we've had since Arbeloa and Riise. What a fantastic defender he is, quick, strong and smart, was he once caught out of position last night? You can see that he's got something about him when he's coming forward too as opposed to Gomez. £12.5m? Bargain.

Clyne is brilliant. Maybe harsh but I think he was partially at fault for Ramsey's goal.

He was caught out a few times on that right side but Arsenal really attacked him, and he stood up to challenge.

Same with Gomez - inevitable that he will make a few errors but this kid is special. Really can't wait to see him at RCB. The way he can carry the ball out of defence is brilliant.

gomez is on the wrong side... fantastic experience for an 18 year ld.. top top defender right there.

Clyne is indeed a bargain but lets not do down one of the finest yuong players ive seen at the club in 20 years to big up another guy.

Clyne is just plain good... solid.

This is what I want from all of our defenders. Do the basics to a high level.

I think considering he was up against Sanchez he didn't really do much wrong, perhaps right for the goal and the early cross in to Sanchez. He's Johnson but with work ethic and half a footballing brain, also has a trick in his locker (got out of a few tricky spots last night). Think the pair of Clyne and Skrtel work, same with Gomez and Lovren.

thats an insult... johnson at his very best was not a solid defender. he always hung back and was weak under the far post too.

Clyne is a good athlete. good worker, and defends very well.

BTW Arsenal and Bournemouth everyone talks about the offsides but will ignore the fact that 99.9% of all other wrong decisions went in our opponents' favour

Soon we'll have players missing games because of accumulated yellows which blatantly weren't

The #neutrals view on last nights game.

Really enjoyed the game despite it ending 0-0. First half I thought Arsenal simply couldn't live with your high pressing style. Their reserve CB pairing certainly didn't help them in that regard and you sought to capitalise on that obvious weakness, and they couldn't get their passing game going from the back as you continually forced errors out of the CB's and the hapless Bellerin, who had a total mare up against Coutinho.

Realistically you probably should have gone in with a couple of goals on the scoreboard and would have done if it wasn't for a tremendous performance from Cech. That said, Arsenal had one wrongly chalked off in a similar call to the one that was rightly given against us on Sunday, an extremely close offside call, but on this occasion the Lino guessed wrong.

Second half was a complete reverse with Arsenal doing the pressing and you largely limited to counters. In the end a draw was probably a fair result, but 0-0 wasn't a fair reflection on the game.

The most telling thing for you lot was the absence of Henderson forced him to bring Lucas in from the cold and he changed your set up slightly with Lucas as the sole deep lying player and Milner and Can playing in front of him. I thought Lucas was MOTM, he was quite simply superb. Breaking up the play, offering great cover for the CB's and reading the game very intelligently. If that proves to be his last game for Liverpool, that's a massive error imo. As he showed exactly what he can bring to your team last night. Henderson is a headless chicken in comparison and hasn't got a fraction of his football intelligence.

    Fair assessment.

It's quite funny how most of our best performances over the past year or so have come from when our 'key' players are injured.

The thing with Lucas is he really does step up in the 'bigger' games, which is a great credit to him. He's void during the smaller games though, as we can afford to have someone more mobile and forward thinking than him; there's the problem. He's very similar to Matic, the only problem is we don't have a Fabregas to put next to him. I'd like him to stay, especially with the bigger away games coming up.

Brilliant review Tobes. The issue with Lucas is he always breaks down after a few games comes back and needs about 3 games to get going. On song he is a very intelligent midfielder and links defense and attack well. If he never got that nasty ACL injury he'd be the first name on the team sheet.

He wants to play more games but his reliability issues mean he cannot be guaranteed to start. I'll miss him when he leaves.

Yes, Firmino and Can offer substance and quality on the ball.

Lallana and Henderson like to run around.
