For all those moaning (and yeah Im one of them) then the only way to make your feeling heard is not to buy it. Im not so arrogant as to tell people what to do but I tell you what, I'll be pissed off if anyone I know who is moaning about it then buys it regardless cos then the club will do exactly the same to us next season. And yeah I expect some of you to say we're only hurting the club by not buying it and it'll affect our finances further but my response would be well the club should know better then. Stop giving us such monstrositiy shirts and we'll buy them. Simple as. And Im not being snobby - Ive nowt against cash converters, just the look of the logo on our shirts. Motherwell got them to do a text only no block background logo and that's all it needed to make our away shirt bang on.
ill end up buying one of them, i love the away one, the sponsor just makes it not so good, reckon ill buy it anyway, home one not too fussed but might pick up in the £20 sales.
I can guarantee I won't be buying either shirt. I got a couple of the new training tops the other day though, look a lot better and they don't have any sponsor logo's on them.
My wallet is completely 'zipped'. Good shirt - I'd buy it but, as it is, I'd rather wear - no! I won't go there!
Well I've been told I'm buying the away one by my daughter (for my daughter). To be fair I'm not that bothered, I quite like it and she has had a new shirt since I started taking her 12yrs ago so it just adds to the collection
I think that its a decent shirt, its a **** sponsor no doubt but is it any worse than some of the past sponsors? With that sponsor most shirts would be ****e, look past it though and its a very good shirt. I bet there are a lot of fans would put up with a **** sponsor to have our design/colour. Twydale or Cash Convertors??
We're a different club to the one sponsored by Twydale Turkeys or HUmberside, averaging 6000 in a delapidated stadium. And again, it's not the sponsor that bothers me, it's the ugly black box.
Yer, good point - but we're still City. We're not "Cash Convertors United" Its a City shirt, with a really bad sponsor - but its still a decent design IMO. Its better than the last few seasons away shirts, but as you say the sponsor does let it down. Hands up if you would prefer KCOM back as shirts sponsor!!!!!!
I'm the same as you BCC... I had my rant about the sponsor when it was announced last month. This isn't about that. To be fair to them, Cash Converter's logo isn't bad at all. It would fit nicely onto a football kit. it's the way they've mounted it onto the black patch. It's just ugly, and kills the look of the kits. Someone said it was for cheapness - so it could be used home and away - but since white stands out on Black and amber, and white is the secondary colour of the away kit, I don't get why it couldn't have simply been a white text sponsor logo with no background. Remember our first season in the PL? West Ham were sponsored by a tour company that went bust, and ended up playing with a patch of their new sponsor over the top. To me, that's exactly how this looks. I'll be wearing some of the old Umbro shirts again. Always liked those.
Youre missing the point, from my perspective at least. I dont care who the sponsor are, if they pay good money Id welcome rampant rabbit as a sponsor. I care what the design on the shirt looks like and a really nice shirt has been ruined by a frankly preposterously big black box.
I'm hoping I can find a fake shirt from somewhere without the sponsor. Or I'll buy the away shirt and try and remove/alter the sponsor myself.
Ok the shirts not great but at teh end of the day its only a shirt and it signifies you support the club.... as much as i hate the sponser yes i will buy it as it shows the club i support and that i will stay with them through the thick and thin.
So you buy the shirt for its great design and sponsor? What a Grade A idiot you are. I buy the shirt to show my support for my football club, and to be able to go to matches wearing it, to go away on trips abroad proud of the fact that others are seeing the badge on my shirt. I don't give two s***s (pardon my french) about who the sponsor is, obviously i prefer one i would support or a decent design, but i will get it every year no matter what. They can bleed me dry but i still love my football club! When i want to boycott my club or join some sort of parade against the board i will go support Newcastle!
Erm, have you read my post? At what point did I say I didnt like the sponsor? And Im pretty sure by wearing a good shirt from previous seasons it still shows my support for the club. Correct me if Im wrong here...
We defo had hoops on a home shirt before, Ive seen the pics of 2 black hoops across an amber shirt. Some time in the 60s I think but Im sure someone could confirm.
Cash converters are the scum of the ****ing earth, They buy stolen goods and they ****ing know they do. I know it, They know it and Hull City ****ing know it, This is a major embarrassment to Hull City. I would rather walk across 100 miles of burning desert with an "I Love Scunthorpe" T shirt on and a ball and chain than that ****ty dog ****ing disgusting ****ed up new shirt of ours.
Now that was from the heart Dean, I like that!!!! although I agree with your moral issues of Cash Converters, the thought of wearing the 'I Love Scunthorpe' shirt should be reconsidered IMO
