If you're ambitions are for a top 4 finish, then yes you can go on about this being a fair result, but if you legit think we're going for the title, then you're just completely deluded, yes deluded, to think today is a good point. Wengerites try to have their cake and eat it, talk out of their asses 90% of the time, and then excuse mediocrity when it happens.
Piskie you yourself said 2 years, 2 bloody years ago, that now since money is available we can properly start judging, you can't even bloody stick to your own criteria which is why you Wengerites can't be taken seriously. Good 2nd half by Gabriel after he and Chamber's had 1st half shocker's.... Chamber's is not good enough back up at CB though! Draw was a fair result on balance of play. Very very average performance, looked totally at sea, couldn't string passes together and the amount of turnover's was unreal! It will be the same story, until about November Wengerites will go on about us having a chance, even though we will be like 12 points behind City until they finally concede we can't in December. They'll then spout the same bullshit about securing top 4 and ending the league on a high to push on next year, and to try to get a cup. AND REPEAT.
Fair result in the end. We dominated and should have scored 1 possibly 2 in the first half, and you guys were unlucky with the offside. 2nd half you guys dominate but only really created 1 chance which Mig saved well from Giroud. Thought was a very exciting game with decent football throughout though Both look far better than United and Chelsea
Very average performance, perfectly good goal disallowed and improved after a woeful first half showing. Not much to take from that.
Technically, we were robbed of 3 points. But given how many times we rode our luck, we could have easily conceded more than one. I agree, that in the end, the result was about right.
Not a good start to the season though for us. 1 point from 6 at home, thank god we got 3 points at Palace. But we have to improve.
But we're supposed to be challengers? No more excuses right? We have money etc. So what possible excuse can there be for this rubbish? Can you just say this is not good enough, and Wenger has run out of all excuses and it's time he start delivering?
Do you genuinely believe we're title contenders? I admit I was deceived that we were, but sadly I see it's the same rubbish from us again, we don't look anywhere near champions, we look frail, clueless, and all the other usual negatives associated with us. Another top 4 for us with a possible cup. yay.
Even though I think Chelski are on the down, they might show that quality and character and eventually be proper challengers while we fade away fighting for 4th spot with Liverpool and Spurs.
We are three games into the league season. We haven't entered any of the other 3 competitions we will compete in yet. The transfer window isn't closed yet. It's very early on to be writing off our season. The season could go the way you think, it could get much better, we will have to wait and find out, that's the joy of football
