Cant compare them like for like as different positions I meant.

 

I reckon it will be close. I'm going for 1-0 to the Arsenal.

 

It was more a case of comparing them in terms of talent and potential.

 

But you can only compare them in terms of ability which in turn depends on the position they're playing.

Hopefully, both go on to become superb players.

 

LFc team reality check

Mingolet. Just above average keeper.
Clyne. A good right back, not very good but good.
Gomez. very young kid. has some potential
Skertl average enough CB
Lovern. Average player
Can. decent young player, has potential
Henderson. Work horse type player, good at that
Milner. as per henderson
Coutinho - yuong player stil, in and out of game, good player
Firmino. To be really seen.... bit of potential here
Benteke - power house forward who can score goals - injury prone? we hope not.

I would have to say that we over rate a lot of our players... they are all decent enough top 6-8 type players there but are they top players? no they are not.

There's a lot of yuong to mid 20s in that side too which is good but its not all that and a bag of chips.

And it not going to beat an arsenal side that actually performs at home... If arsenal perform I think they've too much for LFC, especially in that attacking area behind giroud who will get away for skertl.. thats something he does well, get free i nthe box.

Arsenal to score at least 2 i reckon.. Giroud you should get the odds on him scoring and put money on it. 9/2 first goal. 5/4 for anytime.

by contrast benteke is 7/1 to score first and 11/5 on anytime.

Most teams can beat other teams.

But them most of that isn't away at the Emirates where maybe 3 games might be lost on average?

It's about who plays not only plays best on the day but also whether that best is good enough to deliver the result.

My ideal under a rafa era would be this will be 0-0.... they ain't scoring. Under Rodgers I've zero faith in that here.

My real ideal would be in FM putting cech put from and everyone else plainy on the right side of the pitch and they would all be 16 year olds with walcott in goal.

 

Doesn't Ozil play on their right cutting in? If so, think the young lad Gomez is gonna be in for a tough night..
However, if you keep Ozil quite and not sure Gomez can, they still have Sanchez, Ramsay, Cazorla (on of my fav non-LFC players), Giroud..
If we are to play on the break then.. when ever Benteke gets the ball, he needs to hold it up.. then bring in the likes of Coutinho and Firmino, Milner who hopefully will be making the odd run beyond the front man.. or.. the midfield of Can/Milner/Lucas will need to get to grips with Arsenal's midfield.. can they?

On the + side.. their defence can be had.. they've looked far from secure, so, when we can we need to put them under the pump...
As good as their young RB is going forward, he can be caught out ahead of the balll.. and Mertersaker, can be had when going at him with a bit of pace...
That said.. still think we'll lose..

 

Its bellarin coming on from RB along with that kind of ozil/ox threat thats the issue. Bellarin is fast as ****... we have to pin him back or at elast say to whoever is playing LW for us to stay out there and help.

I have said previously this in not a game for an 18 year old on 3rd prem game as its a player breaker.

I think coquelin has looked cocky as **** and hasn't put the work in....

these are areas a top 4 side take apart... us? we will have to try and get possession first.

The way I see it is we have players that will worry Arsenals defence tonight. Benteke will be a handful,Couts will look to create etc.

I've gone for the score draw 1-1

 

It'd be like arsenal playing any top 4 side

You lot must basically get out wengers collection of white french flags and wave them before every top 4 game.

LFC record away at arsenal is worse than any other team we play. simple as.
