Just posting an interesting, positive stat about one of our players. Wasn't attempting to compare Giroud and Henry lol so you can calm yourself down
I stand by my points, it's an interesting stat, nothing more, Giroud needs to help us win the league, like Henry and Wright did, that's what we want, and rightfully expect.
Looking forward to the game now, I have a good feeling about it but that means **** all in reality but what the hell 0-2 to us.
Should be a cracker really. Listening to Brenda's comments, it sounds as though he's coming to park the bus, but hopefully that shouldn't deter us. I only really see Coutinho and Bentekkers as your threat and if we can nullify them, then I think it might suit us if you sit back and let us have possession.
Yeah I was concerned with his comments, you lot seem vulnerable at times when teams have a go at you. Letting you have the ball would be daft imo.
We have been in the past. But last season we seemed to cope quite well with that approach and showed a bit more maturity in trying to win games (Monaco aside ) Even the Chavs couldn't score against us in our recent 1-0 and they were the masters of bus parking. (Until we outbussed them )
It's a pretty damning stat for Giroud. Those four above him are basically the only other strikers in the last 25 odd years we've had who played their first 100 games for us up front.
Anelka - only played 90 games for us (and joined us a youth aged 17 so hardly a similar comparison) Wiltord - played as right midfield most of his time for us with Henry and Bergkamp up front. Alan Smith? He scored 40+ goals in his first 100 appearances for us. No real idea of the true stat as that's just off wikipedia. But Giroud might have him beat by a goal or two possibly. So yeah OK... you got me. Giroud might slightly have a better than Alan Smith by a goal or two. That is some s**t hot impressive stat right there,
Another guy who played second striker to Henry, rotating with Bergkamp most of the time (and not our main goal scorer)?
So the giroud stat didn't go down as well as I had thought when posting it But the Ozil stat you can enjoy right?
Giroud might get stick from some (me included) but there is no doubting, he is an essential player for us and has good stats.
