only thing that keeps him in the team is he is still the only player who can pass the ball accurately more than 6 yards.. this was highlighted on saturday when the first 2 passes after he went off were booted out for a throw in. until this is rectified hes always going to have a chance i also think he like Meyler is much better suited in the 3-5-2 , it gives more protection for his lack off mobility and more protection for Meylers lack of on the ball ability. i also think that formation works better for Elmo and Dawsons lack of pace, and im hoping we revert back to it soon
Realistically, what are Bruce's options in CM at the moment? Other than Hudd, Meyler and Hayden no one else is fit, or has been tested at this or a higher level. Each of the 3 aforementioned cms have come in for some criticism so far this season for poor performances. We can look at Bruce's decisions in the transfer market in not strengthening enough there and pissing Quinn off so he left and criticise him all we like but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Until some of our big earners are shifted allowing Bruce to bring in some new players we are well and truly stuck with 2 out of 3 from Hudd, Meyler and Hayden.
Anybody else notice that Huddlestone has managed to lose possession in both of the last two matches by kicking the ball where the ref was standing?
