I think Vettel should be slapped with a penalty alone for trying to ruin other people's races after the puncture. So dangerous

“It’s always the same answer: debris, cut tyres, driver went wide... bullshit! I didn’t go off the track, this is out of the blue.”- Seb

When is anything ever a drivers fault, according to the driver?

Tbh if Hembrey said this race is a 2 stop. Listen to him, he designed the tyres. I disagree with both the flimsiness of the tyres and the teams using them in that way.

Why is it whenever it's Vettel having a car problem it's down to the driver yet if this was Hamilton it'll be Pirelli's fault and people saying Rosberg is as **** as anything?
Plus track limits were an absolute disgrace today, pretty much every single overtake I saw was due to them going off track gaining an advantage! If this is really the top motorsport it needs to clamp down on the rules asap.

I was going to make a comment about track limits too, Verstappen exceeded them twice making moves I think, plus Hamilton on lap 1, and at least one other pass was over the line, Kvyat I think?

I remember one into the last chicane, I think it was either Mad Max or Kvyat on Massa, totally out-braked himself, cut the chicane completely, and gained a place. I was shocked it stood.

Has Vettel learned nothing from what happened to Lightning McQueen?

Yeah it was Kvyat on Bottas. Thing is guys, if we get too strict we will start complaining about the lack of entertainment.

The only reason I can think is because the Williams also went off the road, but Kyvatt still clearly undercut him further to get the place so should have given it back under the rules clarified following the incident that cannot be mentioned ever again ;)

Not DSQ, it was a 25 second penalty I think. Demoted him to third. But still an outrage etc etc.

These comments are referring to optimum strategy in terms of race time. If Vettel and Ferrari had gambled and the tyres hit the cliff and he dropped back then they can have no complaints, but the tyres should never explode at speed. Can't believe people are blaming Vettel and Ferrari for this, it's clearly another flaw in Pirelli's construction. How many laps had Rosberg done when his went bang?

They've had problems at Spa before, and in 2012 they kept blaming it on cut tyres and debris, there were dozens of failures before Silverstone that year and nothing was done about it. They need to start acknowledging tyre failures as their own responsibility before someone gets seriously hurt.
