What a fantastic performance - My thoughts on the man united game

Our right back was Chancel Mbemba (a centre-back filling in). He did have a shaky start but adapted so well that he got the highest stats score of any outfield player on the pitch. He picked up 2 bonus points in the Fantasy Football game, which is based on all stats for the game, including tackles made, interceptions made, passing accuracy, etc, etc. Only Tim Krul outscored him in stats. Colo grabbed the headlines, but based on overall stats Mbemba had a great game.

 

Not a big fan of all the irrelevant stats people look at these days.

 

So for offside you need to compare the two players positions along the line. Rooney is obscuring the view of the defender. Unless you have xray specs you can't tell if hes offside or not. I don't know why you lot are getting so hung up on just 1 decision out of the entire game.

I did say the rb looked poor ON THE BALL. There was a few times under no pressure, easy 5 yard passes available and he just passed it on the deck towards the opposition.

 

I'll give you that one. His distribution was definitely inconsisitent. I still think he had a good game though.

On the offside though, the camera clearly shows that Ronney's body is ahead of Taylor's when the ball is played. It was very close though and you often see those going the other way in real time. Not gooing to get acrried away with the result. Its a one point bonus and nothing more. The performance gave me more hope than the result. Shows we have a platform to build on, even though we still have a long way to go.
