I was reading Clancy's book about a Japanese plane crashing into Capitol Hill (Debt of Honour I think) when the twin towers happened. Spooky stuff.
What a stupid response. This sort of attack will be a regular thing in our country in years ahead. Islamic faith is evil and followed by nutters. Only a fool cannot see that we will have bombings on a regular basis in the future, as well as shooting like this.
I think I have read that, are the Japs are doing manoeuvres with the American Navy at the start and attack instead? the subplot in Brethren is about grabbing Muslims and brainwashing and supplying them to attack American embassies so they can put their man in the White house and increase military spending.
As are all religions, as to the attacks, we're at war and that's what happens when you start bombing other peoples countries, they get upset and start bombing you as well. We've been bombing them since the 50's grasping for money, I'm not really sure which is worse, killing for God or killing for money.
Agree that this sort of attack will happen again. We are easy targets Why are we targets? Somehow it has been spun that the other side in all of this are nutters. These type of events of course are peddled back to us to shape us while putting the fear of death onto us IMO Surely these events will never stop until people within the powers talk I state that because there are so many ways that a so called enemy could hurt Europeans for example holidays abroad, our capital transport links and places like Cyprus full of ex -pats or as I like to call them UK immigrants liking there ... Heroes in this instance and again the French made to look complete cowards. Don't mess with us Well I visit the Arab quarter in Beziers frequently and in the past a few terrorists cells have been shall we say closed down ... It rarely makes the news because the French police are super tough and the brigades take no prisoners. I would just like to put the record straight that these attacks are impossible to police but given the choice I would choose the French over the U.S. And UK police forces every time. When it gets tough then the old frogs are about as hard and scary as they come ... They don't **** about and that fear factor IMO contributes to a batter society. If a press story about heroes is going to make you feel all Churchill then great but the truth is we cannot protect ourselves IMO
Given all that it does seem that France has more than it's fair share of terrorist attacks recently. People who are prepared to die in the name of idiocy probably don't worry too much about how 'hard and scary' the police force are, even if they are French. A friend told me a story about when he was following Scotland at the Rugby World Cup in France. He, and hundreds of other rugby fans of mixed nationalities were drinking heavily in a square in Marseilles where the toilet facilities were quickly overwhelmed by demand. Lads started wandering off to the alleys for a piss, where they were mugged and beaten up by locals (i.e. those of north African descent). So the fans started going for large communal pisses, and beat up the would be attackers. No sign of the super hard French police throughout this. Apparently it was a good move to team up with some South Africans when needing some relief. If you want a genuinely scary French speaking police force, try the TonTon Macoute. France is a great country. Every country is great, and no better or worse than any other. I have my preferences, but they are entirely subjective. I agree that this stupidity will go on for a long time, but am very confident that fanaticism has a shelf life. I no longer care if it was all the West's fault or not, I wish it would just go away. There are 120,000 asylum seekers in Hungary tonight, all muslims, because the muslim countries they fled from are intolerable places to live.
What a load of abject tosh! Once again, anything that happens like this is all our fault and never, ever the fault of the terrorists. This kind of self loathing makes me sick to my stomach.
And blind patriotism makes me sick, there's a ten thousand dead muslims killed by westerners to every European, and that's conservative figure, and most of them died first. All over a saudi living in Pakistan and some school kids essay used as a pretext for the largest ram-raid in history.

I base my feelings and opinion from the single member of a large family that didn't enter the services. Proud my boys didn't go into the forces their cousin has completed three tours as a sniper. By his own direct admission he has no idea that the people he took were what we call terrorists. He certainly knows and admits innocent people have been wiped out in the name of what? Retired last year or year before now he works in Nigeria as a security guard to the government there 4 weeks on 8 weeks off Three times the Army money All flights paid back to the UK And I still get to kill people His words not mine What we see and here in the UK is not the whole story Imagine the heat if someone in authority shoots an innocent on the UK ... Oh we have those dreadful rioters ... Yet innocents are killed while UK companies do deals to steal. Other nations minerals ... No way . I was against the gulf wars and the others from the start … before that I was against the Falklands The Falklands had some moral code about it but was seized upon as a political weapon by the mad cow. Oh it seems i was right all along I always honour our service men but take don't take the brainwashing and propaganda that is spun.
