It might have taken the greatest ever sprinter but the Royton cheat gatling has not taken gold at the world's. Bolt wins in 9.79 0.01 ahead of the twice banned gatling. ... who as we all know laid down all that speed while taking drugs before and it's a thundering disgrace to this sport. Elsewhere Jessica ennis hill has won gold too.
Time they introduced life time bans, and mean Life time bans. I'd give them two strikes and that would be it, no matter what. So 1st time they get caught 5 year ban, to be served fully no ducking out early. 2nd time, that's it your out. No competitive running ever again. The fact that Gatlin has been allowed to come back after being caught twice, undermines the whole zero tolerance stance by the IAF.
If you think about it you can pump all the **** you want... build the body for the sport.... then if you are caught you can chill... the money is in the bank and you are free to go compete when back. Gait land has pumped himself for years is dominating the sport at 33 after two bans. ... the muscles have been built.. whatever he's on now is hidden.... It's absolutely disgusting.
Exactly. Even the ex pros commentating etc are in disbelief with this bollox - "he's saved his title, he may have even saved his sport" Quite right - would have been absolutely disastrous if that ****er had beat him
The equivalent would be cycling's saying hey lance please come back and manage a team.. we know you are an expert.
Once you gain a certain muscle mass it makes it easier to return to same muscle mass. Muscle cells don't disappear they just shrink with disuse. Having once built to a certain muscle using banned substances it makes it easier to reach that mass a second time without drugs than it would for someone who had never built those muscles in the first place. If you get found once having taken banned substances then you should be banned for life at that point because you will always have an unfair advantage.
I totally agree. This is why gatlin might be clean but is still the result of cheating and at 33 imo is indeed on something to go do what he is doing. You can see bolt at 28 is actually past his prime. Bolt is an amazing athlete, I'm sure is clean and to say all should take drugs is silly. Sorry but jjk in her grave at 36 puts that sort of idea in its place.
Ive loved watching athletics for years and it really angers me the whole drugs thing Makes me sick that the person i see win may be disqualified at a later date. And you never know who is or who has been doping in the past. Its like a 30 year relationship based on lies. You dont know whether your favorites were clean or dirty cheats.Always suspicious now when an athlete suddenly starts performing above his/her level from nowhere. So happy Bolt won, fed up with the BBC acceptance of drugs cheats and commenting on Gatlins perfect form blah blah bullshit. Wish they would just diemidd him as filthy cheat and not even intorduce him at the start when the camera pans to him. Even worse are people that say why not just alllow everyone to take drugs. Yeh of course, why dont we just give all kids knives, why dont we just shoot all dogs, why dont we just forgive mass murderers and rapists. ****ers. ban Them all. Cant stand Richard Kilty, but in fairness at least you know he is clean because he is so pants
I kind of look and think... Hmmm. . What's the trigger type tells with these guys. Bolt I think is the real deal... the rest? Really not too sure. Bolts got the body and frankly his style is not what I'd say.. aggressive road head either Farah? Not sure there dodgy trainers is a big red flag. It's like Michael Johnson. .. years and years watching him and his style and I never once thought.. how can he run 19.32...
Athletics is pointless There's zero entertainment in the actual events it's just about the achievement of a good performance And the performances are #fake
Loved watching Johnson, looked so different to everyone else. Would ahve loved to have seen him at his best against Bolt. But still there is every chance he could have been a doping and that has ruined his legacy for me. It will always be in my head
Disagree, Its great watching an athletics meet all the way through, even more so when Jim Rozentahl is in the stadium giving first class commentary and presenting. But there is an overwhelming feeling of fraud going on these days. Shame
I think it's like any sport. You have to have: A) a history in the sport yourself at amateur or school level to have an appreciation of the sport. Or B) a vested interest in who wins. A team (or in this case individual) that you have an emotional connection with on some level. Take cricket for example. Dull as dishwater to me. I'd probably like it more if my school played it growing up (it was just footie and rugby for my school). Or if I cared who won. I used to love F1 when I watched it closely. Now I don't really care who wins and so races are less interesting. American sports are by and large boring... But most Americans think football is boring because they don't understand it.
Imo if you can't appreciate the sport fair enough just phone off and let others have thier enjoyment of it. It's like this. A triple jump? Not for me.... a marathon... couldn't watch 2.5 hours of pure pain. But a 100m...... That's drama right there.
