People are going to look back and see his record and see he was pretty good at getting a podium. I would like to see another driver in to see if Lewis is that good. Or if he is lucky too. Vettel vs Hamilton would be a great telling partnership considering how many easy championships they are going to rack up between them
The problem at the moment is that Hamilton doesn't seem to be stretching his legs when he's out in front. It may be a bluff that he's holding back but he always seems to create a gap and then just match Rosberg. Or if Rosberg is catching he waits until he's 3-5s behind and then picks up the pace. I think Vettel Vs Hamilton would be an amazing pairing, and I wouldn't like to call who would come out on top.
Hamilton's race management is one of the most encouraging things of the season for me. He's developed a level of maturity whereby he doesn't just cane it every race. He wins just as much as he needs to. If you think about it, that's got to be even worse for Rosberg's self confidence. To know that you're finishing second to a guy who's not even trying as hard as he can.
You have to wonder how long Mercedes can keep up the pretence of having two equal drivers. Hamilton is clearly in a different class to Rosberg.
Bad crash for Justin Wilson in Indycars, hit on the head by flying debris then into the wall. Fingers crossed it isn't too serious. edit: Has been airlifted to hospital.
Fingers crossed for him. This is potentially worse than Massa getting hit by the spring, higher speed, heavier object..... And we know how lucky Massa was. Hoping for the best, fearing the worst
Sorry ASC, I didn't see you'd mentioned this here before I posted on the Indy thread. Bloody shocking incident! Seems like we play the waiting game again. Just hope this isn't another Jules.
Forgot about the Indy thread as was posting from my mobile. Not seen an update yet today, any news in the states?
Not a peep. Not sure if that's good or bad right now. Looking on the bright side, it means he made it through the night.
The thing about Kimi is that it's never his fault, and always blames the team, he's like a grumpy di Resta (is that even possible?). Yesterday was driver error, Silverstone was his own call, Austria it was his fault, Canada was his fault, nothing happened in Spain but people like to think something did. The fact is, he's not quick enough, and before he blames someone else, he needs to work on his own performance..
Any explanation for that start yet, can't recall ever seeing that happen before? Typical that it would happen while he's on the front row for the first time in years.
