Mother in law made us jars of apple & redpepper , blackberry& Apple, and a plum chutney..........going to buy some nice cheese to sample these with later.
Try Comte and Epoisse. Ones hard and ones soft. Make sure you leave the epoisse out of the fridge for at least an hour before eating.
I knew we'd lose the rugby match against France (after watching how close the previous game was), so I watched Murray play Federer. Still, today I am having pancakes (with raspberries, maple syrup and crème fraiche) for breakfast....just the right mix of sweet and tart.
Grave of the Fireflies made me sad. The Ghibli films have been a lifesaver fo me, one of the few films/series that you can watch as a family and bare repeating. I was so pleased when the girls moved on from Barbie* films to Ghibli. I still want a Catbus. *other examples of misogyny and stereotyping are available.
And some. I've gone for the update on the two Win 7 machines in our house. Just put aside a day or two if you've not allowed automatic updates for a while. Also try using the media creation tool if it stalls when trying to download the Win10 install. As a Microsoft sceptic so far it's been a fairly pleasent experience. I see little difference in the speed stakes but it's certainly not slower. That may be due to different spec or your Win7 instalation could be getting bloated. To my surprise it actually runs ok-ish on an Atom 1.6ghz with 1gb ram (damm you dell for putting the ram slot in a sh*tty place). I'll stay with (Zorin) linux for my main machine, fast and never crashes. The key factor for Microsoft is not to balls it up with one of their updates. We still laugh in our house at the security update which disabled my wife's touchpad, great fun. What's a restore point she said.
That's probably because they struggle to get kids to do it. Our village shop struggles and the owner was delighted when we turned up Friday morning with two of them following his sign in the window. Ours are staring just with Saturday/Sunday but hopefully then get a week day one. I can't believe that they struggle for paper boys/girls. It is the first job and the first little bit of value/responsibility learning away from the home (though my lad did start serving the teas and coffees at the football club last season).
I have just noticed that the pilot named in the reports Andy Hill, isn't the one quoted in the Programme to perform the display, Chris Heames.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/saudi-women-register-to-vote_55d75fb2e4b04ae497031659 Glad to see Saudi Arabia is slowly reaching the 21st century, or even the early 20th century. Still a long way to go until this institutionally misogynistic country isn't a deplorable hell-hole when it comes to women's rights though. I haven't watched the Barbie films, but I imagine they're some of the most gender stereotyping films of all time. I want to go on a water train.
Never tried epoisse must try that one, but my favourite at the moment is cambazola, I would eat at least half a wheel of it bloody lovely
I tend to find that the main reason why people upgrade their computers [ie replace them with something new] is that they continually add crap to them to the point where the system is wandering through thick treacle at the best of times. At worst it crashes constantly because of the blockages built up. It's many years since I found satisfaction in returning a computer back to the owner and seeing their mixed delight as their snail has returned to being the cheetah when it was new. Their delight is mixed because they've already set their sights on something shiny. However, the new thing is rarely needed, and in any case, they'll turn that new shiny thing into a snail in just as short a time. I have always kept my computers fast and lean. And it's very easy to do so too. My own particular favourite Linux flavour is Mint. I think it might be because it resembles traditional Windows a bit. And funnily enough, I think Win10 actually resembles Linux Mint. Security Updates: Yep, they can be indifferent. I suppose when an OS is trying to cover so much different hardware inevitably something is going to get caught up. I'm currently testing an Intel Core Duo 2 system on a retail till version of XP Pro and all was very fast until I got a latest update for August and suddenly it has turned into a snail. I've restored the system but something is not right now. I'll work it out.
