Sorry, I got it wrong again. It was one of the best goals I've ever read. A kind cyber lurker has suggested I should elevate my City input to this forum, from 4000 miles away, if I ever want to be credible -- and I do, desperately. Pleeease give me a "like". I love you.
In fairness, SE Trains are usually decent but today they had to deal with this ****wit...http://www.standard.co.uk/news/lond...der-bridge-in-south-east-london-a2918956.html
What I would like to know is where this passing the ball around the back comes from. Is it Steve Bruce who wants it or is it the players? They seemed to snap out of it towards the end and the substitutes made a difference.
That report said they were running again at 10.30 am. I went to Charing Cross and they blamed signal failure for no trains. Then I went to Cannon Street and there were delays.
I think it stopped when Bruce realised, eventually, that some urgency was needed and he replaced Huddlestone with Hayden. The problem is we all know that he'll start with Huddlestone against Preston, and then we'll all go through the same process again.
Hopefully he makes the right call and sits Hudds on the bench tell he proves he is going to turn it up a notch.
Great stuff - shades of the Broad Street Bullies. Whatever happened to Dave Schultz et al I wonder ? I loved Hound Dog Kelly. Bobby Clarke was the sneakiest, dirtiest player I ever saw.
I think he is a commentator but I'm not sure. Brashear was our best enforcer in the modern game. I never saw him lose a fight while he played for us.
All games have looked disjointed so far, this one was coming. Even if you pick up results while not playing that well it's not much of a consolation if those performances continue because the luck will run out.
Nowhere in my post did I say he was left or right footed, on account of the fact that I don't actually know which foot he favours. I said if (IF) he was a left footer, he'd be better on the right if he wanted to cut inside and shoot. What's wrong with that?
Watched the game on Bein sports from the comfort of three crowns. No improvement on last season, too pedestrian in midfield, every team we play seems to be able to counter attack at pace and with numbers we seem to be devoid of ideas. Our midfield to me is still the problem area, I think our strikers are OK just **** all service. ****ing drop Huddlestone let's shake it up a bit in the middle. Can Maloney play in the centre? We are too slow and too predictable, we all know our long standing ongoing weaknesses so it's about time Bruce addressed them or perhaps get someone in who can.
Went to the match. It was like a training session when you have attack v defence.we didn't seem interested in attacking too much, like let them have the ball back when it got past the half way line.It was worst I've seen us play ever or at least since under Parky v Luton years ago just before he got the "Tin Tack".Maybe it's time for Bruce to go the same way if he can't motivate the team to get the extra 10,20 or 30% more out of the players. I don't know why lots of people are blaming Huddlestone. He's playing far too deep,he needs to be a lot more up front. We lack seriously creativity since Quinny left.Every player was poor.Odubajo isn't very good on the right he seems to neutralise Elmos effectiveness, who is miles better having that area all by himself.Need a "decent" keeper.McGregor seems to be having a de-stabilising effect on the defence, whom I don't think have any confidence in him.I could go on and on but obviously things need to be put right NOW.
