I think it's a very good signing for Chelsea, as he'll be much better back up than Falcao or Remy, and they don't need him to be amazing either. Whereas I don't think he'd be as good as Man U need him to be
United have enough options out wide. Memphis, Young, Januzaj, Mata, Valencia, Blind can play there if needs be. That's more than enough options. Pedro was a signing Chelsea really needed and although he isn't that good physically, his speed, movement and ability to finish is very good. For £21m, I think it would have been worth looking to snap him up. Still think we should have tried for Aubameyang or Lacazette when we had the chance. The frustrating thing for me is that, although the transfer window isn't closed yet, so far we've only bought in one player and although it does appear to be a good signing, I still feel that - for the first time in a long time - we are genuinely only two players away from competing for the title and it winds me up that we don't seem to be looking to reinforce our squad. It seems like we're happy with what we have got and if this is the case, we should be expecting a similar season to last season.
United drop points to Newcastle who were very very dire. They had about 80% Possession too Monday a good chance to make the gap 1 point
Imo United need all the attacking help they can get but I don't think pedro is it. We already have Sanchez, Walcott and oxo who can do that job, so we don't need another person. And I am in nowhere convinced that lacazette or aubameyang are any better than what we've got, plus lacazette was never moving anyway....
Don't think we can mock that can we? We did the same VS a dire West Ham and LOST, the description you just gave can literally be applied to so many Arsenal games, so much possession, and drop points.
I think calling us Dire was a bit harsh. We struggled to form attacks at times, but we could have quite easily had a couple of goals and we defended very well for most of the game. We're playing away vs potential title contenders so obviously we're going to sit back and attack on the break
Talking about dire, West Ham down 2-0 at home to Bournemouth......Yeah, don't think we want to be laughing at United just yet.
I disagree. Lacazette and Aubameyang are both quick, agile strikers who have excellent movement and would work very well with the likes of Sanchez, Cazorla, Ozil, Walcott, Ox etc. I don't think either of them are world class, but I rate them both higher than Giroud and honestly think we'd have a better shot at the title with either of them leading our line.
West Ham despite their win against us are utter ****e and I have no idea why they got rid of Fat Sam a year before the move to the Olympic Stadium, he might play horrible football, but West Ham were in no danger of relegation under him, with Bilic, I am not so sure.
Gomis is a clinical striker and I think that's his 3rd this season, but I ****ing hate that crawling on the floor goal celebration he does
Spurs were fortunate to come away with a point from Leicester, after leading they nearly threw away 2 goals again. Despite buying defenders, that defence looks really creaky and full of mistakes, oh and Vertonghen should have conceded a pen.
