    Well based on his appearance on the press conference, I didn't get the impression that Wanyama wants to leave. He seems a fairly simple character who is happy to play football and has delegated the financial side of his job to his agent. Who is, by all account, a greedy bastard.

    But though luck for him, Ron and Les have locked the door and thrown away the key. I'm totally confident that everybody is staying.

    Crook saying same as what I have been told. Wanyama's agent wants him to leave. The problem is Wanyama is very closer to his agent. He sees him as a father figure.

    If Wanyama goes (which I don't think will happen), I think Ron will have some very harsh words with Les and Ralph.

    We tried getting Wanyama to drop his agent when signing him was dragging out. He wouldn't, hence why it took so long.

    Regardless of how this started or who, the only statement is like to hear from the club (and if like Ralph to do it in a 15 minute Sky interview that takes 4,467 words whe the following few would do) is this:

    As a business and a football club, we have decided that we will not do business with Tottenham Hotspurs. End of.

    My personal view is that he isn't going anywhere. We've said no first team players are leaving.

    But at the end of the day, if he doesn't leave this summer then no doubt he'll leave next summer. So on that basis, if someone comes in with a £20m+ offer for him over the next two or three days, then I wouldn't be against us accepting it. No later than that though, given that we'd have to sign a very decent replacement before the window shuts.

    Did nobody notice Vic saying he was happy at Southampton...oh...four days ago? As Beefy says (and has told us all previously) Vic's agent is a cockwomble. There's been a fleeting rumour about Spuds a few days ago and he smells the possibility of a quick windfall for himself.
