...and phew..another brilliant 3 pts. Next up, flying high flipping Seagulls. Bring them down to earth I say!
Well done lads, good to see you keeping Whotun company at the top of the table! I spelled his name wrong cos many of you wouldn't know who Hughton was!
Wonderful start to the season and I think we can realistically be in a promotion push again this season
Sounds like you were a bit more clinical than us and the second goal is a decent strike, so well done and good luck for the rest of the season
Me too JWM. It does annoy me how many news articles fail to give us credit though. 'Weren't <insert team name here> unlucky today against a direct, physical Ipswich side.' blah, blah, blah
Back from the game. Relieved is probably best word for it. I think we just about edged it by the end though. Desperately missed Murphy first half. We had no one to aim at/harrass the defence. A lot better second half. Passes seemed to stick more. Miles is an exciting player to watch and we seemed to carry a more balanced threat when we came on. No big moans or worry's though, bring on Brighton.
Got to say that I think it's great that Mick used the spare seats on the plane to take youngsters with the team. What an experience for these young lads, seeing how it all goes in the build up to a match. Really good management from the boss. Grayson was very dignified in defeat too, said he knew they would be coming up against a really strong Ipswich team and that if we were going to win, we'd have to earn it. We managed to do just that
The way Douglas(I think it was)took a booking for the team with a cynical pull back against Sheffield Wednesday would indicated we are getting a bit more street wise.
Another win, happy days! Listened to the game, not sure how we won seeing the amount of chances Preston created especially in the first half but some clinical finishing did the trick. Glad we have Knudsen at LB and not Cresswell after today!
Over the last two years Mick and Terry have given us a team to be proud of again after the disaster of the Keane/Jewell era. I can't praise our management team highly enough for restoring us back to being a proper football team.
I have to admit that I was one of MM critics last season regarding team tactics and selection and style of play etc However, I am over the moon with MM this year, we are mixing it up with strikers, getting players down the flanks resulting in us always looking likely to score So hats off to MM and a special mention to ME also, for tying up new contracts, authorising new players etc We really look like a force to worry other teams now So from one fickle fan I am very happy to change my mind Onwards and upwards
