In terms of the football it was a fantastic evening and an entertaining match. 2-0 was very complementary to Darlington to be honest and on another day we would have netted loads more. The reception Joey Barton got as he lead the team out was phenomenal and then it got even better when he scored. Every time we sang his name he acknowledged it and thanked us, constantly applauding and waving to the fans throughout the match. You could see him laughing when we started singing ashley sign him up, it was a great evening for him and I hope that he gets his contract! He played very well and got the goal he deserved. I was impressed with the full team, no one had a bad game. I was particularly impressed with Cabaye, Ben Arfa and Best. Cabaye has a fantastic passing range and distributes the ball perfectly, he also isn't afraid to get stuck in when tackling for the ball. I can see him forming a very successful partnership with Tiote in CM. It was nice to see Ben Arfa back, he loves taking people on and isn't afraid to run at people. You could tell he hadn't played for a long time but it looks like the injury hasn't had a bad effect on his game. He fills that role just behind the striker brilliantly. Leon Best also impressed me a lot. His holding up play was brilliant all his game was missing was a goal. He seems to work very well with Ben Arfa and he surely must have a very strong claim to be our starting striker this season. As for the young lads, Ferguson, Vuckic and Forster. Vuckic should some good signs but he didn't really stand out, Ferguson wasn't as good as normal but still played well. It's a shame about his injury. Forster didn't have a lot to do but he did everything right. He's great at coming off his line which is Krul's weak point. I don't think there is anything between Forster and Krul as to who the better keeper is, Harper should start next season though.

The fantastic performances were overshadowed by a minority group of fans. If we had just won a trophy or something a pitch invasion is understandable but it's not in the middle of a meaningless friendly. The police, Darlingtons lack of stewards and most off all the dickheads who ran on the pitch are to blame. There was no police and only about 8 stewards at first which is bizarre in any game never mind a one when the away support out numbered the home support. Then when they eventually tried to get everyone off the pitch they failed to notice that Darlington fans ran onto the pitch as well and as a result they ended up letting Darlington fans into the Newcastle end. This lead to unrest and fighting so the stewards tried to remove the main trouble maker who was a Darlington fan but they escorted him along the stand where he was trying to cause more trouble. Then about 20 or 30 absolute tossers jumped onto the pitch to dive on him and thats when it really got bad in terms of the violence. The same ****ers ignored threats of the game being abandoned, ignored the rest of the Newcastle fans and ignored the police and stewards and just continued fighting. Eventually Pardew and Caver had to come over to get them to calm down. Personally I believe whoever entered the pitch during the first invasion should get a years ban from attending football, I know thats about 200 people but that is what they deserve. Then the people who invaded the pitch during the second invasion (the fights) should get a lifetime ban from Newcastle United and football! We don't want to be associated with these ****s who try and call themselves fans they are an absolute disgrace and I'm outraged with the behaviour of these so called 'fans'. It really is sad that these scum bags overshadowed a good game off football. I hope they get the punishment they deserve and the sooner we move on from this the better.

List of everything NUFC & their fans have done to earn their laughing stock name

After reading the Darlo pitch invasion thread and seeing the same old lines being trotted out by blinkered and delusional scum supporters I think a nice little list of their and the clubs 'acheivements' would be a handy thing to reference on occasion - and give me a ****ing laugh.

'They' will no doubt add the few recent blemishes of our own supporters in some retaliation attempt but just like the transfer market, they haven't a leg to stand on and they know it.

    I'll start.

Mass (partially violent) pitch invasion at friendly pre-season non-league team
Hounding out Bobby Robson after 5th place PL finish
    Spitting on Bobby Robson
    NUSC
    NYPD
    Geordie Nation
    Barcelona of the North
    Illiterate bedsheet brigade
'Wa neeeed a nu owna' bloke
    Shoes off
    Ashley death threats
    Cockney Mafia banners
Man U are our rivals now
    Beckham is signing
    Forever/Always in our shadow
    Attacking disabled fans
    SBR greiving monopoly
'Wish it was Ashley not you' SBR flower memorial
N.E Top Dogs banner last game of 10/11 season
    Worshipping a thug
    Special K
For some unknown reason insisting SD.com@SJP is better than the SOL
Not realising Sky bias towards them
    Everyone's second team
    ST waiting list

Seems easier to start with the fans. Although as we know, the club has been responsible for some crackers too!

That little list so far is probably unfair. It's only 'a few' that act up isn't it?

    I need a ****e.
