Thud was slow and Meyler was ****.... apart from the header to their players he was mainly annonymous today,
Meyler wasn't good at all. Huddlestone didn't do anything great but didn't do much wrong either compared to the rest of our team, Im sure his usual bashers will say he was useless. I was surprised Bruce subbed him at the time considering how awful some of the other performances where.
It wasn't the best performance but we'll get better. We stay 4th - well up there. As frustrating as that was to watch, last quarter of the game was so much better with the subs we made.
Actually hoping this will ruffle a few feathers. Wether it pushes a purchase of a striker or it means benching Bruce's favourites like huddle stone... But something has to happen
Problem is, it takes us conceding a goal to wake up. It was the same against Fulham. As soon as we score we just sit deep, same as last season. Why can't we just take the game to the opposition for a change?
We need more competition in central midfield & up front because it's just too easy for them to be sluggish, make mistakes and just get picked on their reputations. Both Jela & Huddlestone (if they're staying) need a rocket up the arse.
I'm not that annoyed about the result; more annoyed at the manner in which we played. We were utter ****e for the majority of the game and big players like Elmo, Jelavic, Huddlestone and Meyler didn't perform. Although, I will say Huddlestone played better than the other three mentioned, not brilliant, but not terrible. Robertson's crossing was absolutely shocking once again. He won't be the great player everyone makes him out to be if he doesn't improve drastically. Aluko, despite losing the ball a couple of times and misplacing a few passes, was the best attacking threat we had until Hernandez came on. Dawson and Davies were a little shaky today as well but nowhere near as bad as the others.
cos SB is a defender, he doesnt know much about a strikers role. you think that any manager will want them after their latest displays? APART from ours that is
That was grand, wasn't it. 50 shades of ****e, but we're okay, after all we have a Premier League team, haven't we. (no question mark for a reason) Bruce is a tactical genius
