    Fantastic play by naughton and a perfect weighted ball for gomis to score. Sunderland have improved ten fold and swans old boy have been a danger up front. A great game so far....

    Half time and just checking in on my pal Gomis, I knew this would happen, made Kane my captain and jinxed him (although doesn't help we have an average manager and a dull team)....but I should have stuck with Gomis! <cheers>

    Fair play to Sunderland for the effort they are putting in because that's what most fans want to see from their team and I did say that the Manager would get a reaction today but there is a fine line between effort and being downright dirty. Lens shouldn't be on the pitch, though his first yellow was soft.

    Like other fans I can't see them maintaining that level of intensity. Should be an interesting second half.

    The live feed on BBC sport has what looks like an official Sunderland AFC tweet -
    "Such a cruel end to the half as #SAFC dominated proceedings but Gomis scored against the run of play with the first chance of the game"
