We had plenty of midfielders last season. I agree with the rest though.

that is true .. but i doubt any UTD fan believed we will challenge for title this season .. imo I still think 4th place is where we gonna end up fighting for unless we bring a CB and a proper striker

Keeping Rooney in my fantasy footy team just for the jinx factor.

The thing that frustrates about LVG is you ask yourself, are these problems of his own making or has he done absolutely everything he can.

And the answer ALWAYS comes back, it's of his own making. No fcking way anyone can say he's done everything he can to sort this. If we're resorting to Fellaini and our midfielders to score our goals again this season then he needs shooting.

This result was coming in the first two games. We look solid on the ball but it's just toothless.

I wanted RVP to stay, but wasn't too sad when he left because i assumed it meant we had lined up a replacement. Now i'm wondering what on earth they were thinking.

Rooney just isn't a reliable enough goalscorer to win us the title as a lone striker.

Lacking in the final 3rd. Plenty of good play and purpose about our play but very frustrating.

Need a goal scorer or one of the ones we have to suddenly hit form and step up to the task.

Positives, defence again barely troubled. Best start to a game so far and Rooney looked a little better.

Loads of work to be done still.

But it wasn't long ago since you won it, and you've spent shed loads - surely you need to be challenging? Or has the decline been accepted and fans are now happy to get 4th?

Well I didn't see that point coming. You play some very attractive football but definitely had less bite than I was expecting. Even saying that though, you had more than enough chances to score and on another day could have had 3 or 4. It would have been a travesty if we'd stolen it at the end....one I would have gladly taken though.

All in all I think it was one of the more entertaining 0-0 draws you come across.

Good luck for the rest of the season <ok>

Thats because their transfer policy is chaotic. Who runs the club LVG or Woody?

Hold on mate, it's only the 3rd game <laugh> We need a striker that's for sure, a proven one. It's up to LVG to get one tbh and then I'm confident we can challenge. I've said that all along.

I was right. I predicted 75% possession. :bandit:

A bit unlucky too: Hernandez clear shot in goal, and smalling against the post.

Just the last touch missing. Rooney is clearly off form. We need another striker just to share the burden with him. Tempo also too slow.

positives? Very few : a clean sheet. That's it.

Surely you need him more after the meltdown of your first couple of games?

    Which Austin is.

Who exactly you thinking we can sign who has many seasons of goalscoring under his belt?

Don't worry about them, last minute Pedro and panic buy Pogba are coming to save their season....although not their coveted FFP status...

Wasted 2 points. We really do need a striker as Rooney is struggling. We also need a pacey winger as we are too predictable at the minute. Mata at 10 and pace on the non Depay wing would make a difference. Mata is a wizard of a player but I think his lack of pace costs us out wide.

I thought Schweinhund was very good. He doesn't do anything spectacular but he controls the entire midfield, ours and theirs.

Not sure we needed both him and Schneiderlin against a team that came for a point. Herrera would have added some much needed creativity.

Smalling was immaculate again. Massively underrated player.
