Point taken but Short responded by making the statement. That should have been the end of the matter.
I think the way it was portrayed in the press left Short no choice but to respond. I agree now Gray has been put in his place, especially by DA, that should be an end of the matter but I wouldn`t be the least surprised if the Daily Ashley made a meal of it.
I haven't seen Grays full statement and it wouldn't surprise me if the press paraphrased his words into those dramatic back page headlines. But if he did call him that in so many words, then if I was Short, I'd want an apology about that slur upon my integrity. I don't think that's too much to ask for.
I've never know a chef contaminate any food. It probably happens but no idea. I didn't mean to come across like waiters deserve tips above other professions because they don't. I can only comment on a situation I've been in. I got out because I hated it and I'm in asset finance now. Complete change.
Maybe we should ask Gray for his solution to our perceived problem rather than work of half information. No argument we were abysmal defensively over the first two games but deriding the players and calling the chairman a liar was too far for anyone connected with broadcasting. On the other hand he can now claim that his criticism galvanised the players into today's performance. Power of the press misused again though.
Why can Gecci not get a game, and Watmore brought on too late yet again, the ref was utter rubbish, a cast iron 2nd half penalty, Swansea players diving all over the pitch, that was the worst case I have ever seen. Much better though with O Shea back. As for Gray's comments and the likes of Benno etc, they should remember they were part of other relegation teams in the past. Get Austin, and Borini in Ellis and the supporters will be ecstatic.
