Can the mods please delete all threads on this board, re-boot and let us start again. The tossers who ruin it can all have a FAT to the Sunderland board
I think we should just scrap all the other threads. Have one thread - Here it is. If anyone on here is genuinely interested in transfers - they're on page one. If anyone wants a player appraisal - See Geo he's a fountain of knowledge coincidentally mirrored by FIFA 2015. We didn't sign Gray, for the next 2 weeks at least we'll have a border line PL squad, from then probably a mid table Championship team.
Because he assumes your knowledge is from playing the fifa game. He is basically saying you know nothing.
When people kept referring to "FIFA" on here I thought they meant the World governing body of Football. So FIFA is a video game? What is the prize if you win the game?
Carefull we don't need anyone else joining in, glp could carry this on for weeks and tell you who to support
Can you lot who are arguing about nothing please also do it on twitter and add #hcafc to each hissy-fit post? Don't feel it's fair that we are depriving your spat from the wider Hull City community.
Which presumably you are on a lot in order to recognise that that is where their knowledge comes from?
See glp you've done it agin I asked why you think I play on FIFA or why my knowledge is from FIFA. Instead of answering it you've picked up on something else to start another debate. I asked you earlier to tell me when meyler last had a good game or consistently played well. You told me to support Chelsea or Man City Do you just like a good debate on message boards ? This is an opinion board we all have differing opinions that's what makes it work, if this upsets you then maybe you should fill your time with something else. I don't rate meyler as highly as you, as I told you when you had your debate with fez my opinions are based on going to the games I can deal with our differences on meyler can you or should we rename it not 606 glp
I don't see playing football manager or fifa as an insult. Given that those games are based on real teams and people it's hardly surprising that people use them to improve their football knowledge. Somebody who does is inevitably going to know more about world football than somebody who just goes to City and doesn't care about anything else.
We have not got a club being run properly. We know one player does not guarantee promotion, has anyone said that? If I take into account the goal scoring records (from last season) and their abilities to stay uninjured, then I have every reason to be concerned. The Ince reference is a very lazy red-herring. A goal scorer does make a team - how many years have our boards and newspapers been saying that very point has been our weakness? Like I said, the club is not run properly. It has to be combined with the failure to sign a known goalscorer. I totally disagree that this is good management, it is appalling management, there is absolutely no sense in our policy. Ehab made it very clear that this club was focussed on nothing other than instant promotion and that it was only Financial Fair-play rules that would limit that - that does not appear to have played a part in these dealings. Steve Bruce has sent out more mixed messages that I really doubt he knows what it is he wants anymore. He came out and said he wants to retain Hernandez, he said he let valued players go to enable him to bring others in. More lately he has been saying that he wished the window would close now so he can keep all of his current squad but he still had a bid for Gray tabled. He would have had a very good idea of the wages concerned, so the failure to sign him had to be down to the transfer fee, what would that be £500K to £1.5M over their budget? So that is the crux of it, £500K - £1.5M extra for a proven goal-scorer, who Bruce clearly liked, as the fee he was prepared to pay was hardy peanuts. In the scale of the money we have wasted on players since Bruce came, I personally think this would have been a reasonable punt to make. Would it have broken the club, would it ****; certainly not if the owners are sincere about wanting promotion. Poor contracts, players leaving that infuriates the manager, reasonable loan deals being disregarded and strong targets being lost are clear indications of a transfer policy from hell.
