Agree. Others won't like this but I'd drop Firmino and Ibe from that team and play Lallana and Can/Lucas instead. Need to keep things tight and work hard against Arsenal.

Why do people say Can or Lucas? Can should be the first name on the team sheet. He has been the 1 player who has changed both games.

 

I'm not sure he's suited to a DM role and I feel it's a DM sat behind the other 2 that we need. I agree he should be playing though but where is the question and who gets dropped?

 

You are all nutzoid if you think Lallana can do anything against arsenal. I'd rather keep ibe in and push him up into the face of Bellarin or Montreal and make them think twice.

The only thing lallana has going for him is he should know the tactical play book. ... pity he just wanders off though... kind of negates that.

 

He's a defensive player in every other club... bayern... leverkusen... Rodgers played him at cb.... why the hell do people think he's a box to box player?

Just going from what I've seen, I think he's more suited to a controlling role but not in a defensive role (sounding like Jimmy). I think we need a DM against the Gooners and would put Lucas in there personally.

 

And I say any cm worth his salt can dig in.
Henderson and can holding with Milner in front of that centrally... that would be my choice.

Get coutinho wide left and Ibe wide right and push on arsenal's fill backs.

That's the only way I see us getting anything.

In fact I think it's rather obvious so I'm sure we will see the team Astro posted instead.

Think Ibe needs a rest. He's only young and has had 2 poor games so far. Let him come on with 20 minutes to go to run at their back 4. Much easier for players like him to come on and make an impact from the bench compared to starting.

 

I agree, I'd like to see Firmino start and Ibe replace him later in the game.

 

This is the one, that way we can play with a proper midfield esp away at arsenal.

 

I think for arsenal game id rather see Can in for Ibe and be a bit more solid in the middle with Lallana and Coutinho wide.

For others then yeah Firmino in for Ibe.

I think most want a 3 man midfield in this one, it would make sense to try and win the middle ground. Will Rodgers see it that way though?
