I'm finding it interesting how much people have been complaining about wickets being prepared for the England team. Australian batsmen love being flat-track bullies and their bowlers bowl fast so it's safe to say that when we play away there'll be 5 matches on flat decks, like every other series in Australia ever. If we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot by insisting on playing at Lords (where our record generally just isn't good compared to the other venues) we'd have more success.

Truth is that neither of these teams are as good as they think they are, South Africa have better players throughout. Pakistan in UAE are probably going to beat us anyway so lets enjoy this while we can :)

You are missing the point, the pitches in Australia are prepared the same for every game, the complaint here is the way the wickets are a change from what they normally are

I thought Adam Lyth looked comfortable with the bat in his hands ( When he was walking back into the pavilion )

And if Australia needed to change them to suit their team you don't think they would? Michael Vaughan (amongst others) is correct when he says the pressure on teams to get results means that home teams make sure their pitches are to their advantage more than ever before so away victories in tests become harder and harder. I don't think there's much that can be done about it really.

This pitch complaint is laughable, whining Aussies. We prefer seaming wickets with a bit of zip. That is what you get the majority of the time in England. Aussies like fast bouncy flat wickets and that what you get there. Basically - nothing to see here. If anything we've bloody helped them with what the Oval and Lords have served up. All of our pitches should be prepared the exact same way - aid the moving ball.

The Aussies don't half do so whining when they don't get their own way. They have been well beaten fair and square. Now they should just hop back on their plane and tuck their tail between their legs.
