By lad & nephews love it..... I'm not sure if the Lloyds Bank manager will allow me to treat them all ?!? May just have to send them off for a programme and then sneak one for myself !!!
Half the stuff the pundits are spewing about you is garbage. Its only two games and your only a single point off 12th place, so nothing to panic about. You do have much to improve on but, you do have the talent in the squad to do just that. All they lack is a bit of self belief and one good result is all it will take for them to be playing again like at the end of last season. Tomorrow, you should be well up for it, in front of a loud, proud, Black Cat crowd. O'Shea's back so your defense will be organised and there's also that Deafo guy, I hear he can bang em in for fun. Seriously though with Defoe playing you'll always have a shout. Hope I'm wrong but I think tomorrows game will closer than everyone thinks, especially if your boys get stuck in to us, legally of course and if Jones can stifle Montero then I see a draw all over this one or one side winning with the odd goal nicking it. See ya'll on the other side
Great thread as usual, if the team put in as much effort tomorrow we'll piss it I can't meet up tomorrow as I'm far far away but I hope you have a pint and a song in my name, I'll pay next time I'm up. I've just rcd my tickets for Villa & Bournemouth so hopefully we'll meet up there. Take care tomorrow and I hope you sing all the way home
No two games are the same and both teams will have to be on top of their game to get anything. Past results wont mean a thing as anyone can beat anyone on the day. Sunderland have home advantage and they will want to improve on the last two games and Swansea will be fully aware of that so it will not be a foregone conclusion that because the swans have had a good start that they will win like most of the tabloids are predicting. I expect a close hard fought match with one goal separating the sides if both managers have done their homework properly..... We have a bit of a reputation of not doing that well against bottom sides and you dont get much bottom than Sunderland ATM so its a hard game to predict so for that reason i am hoping for a win......1 - 2.....enjoy the match after all its only a game and not life or death...
Looks like I will be stopping up until daft-o-clock for this one, watch the ManU game first then this. The disappointment of our first two games has gone and ready for this with quiet confidence.
Sunderland will certainly give us a game and will put in a respectable shift this game, but having watched Sunderland's last two games, it's clear to me they have not only a fitness problem, but some of their players are looking a tad overweight so it's a Swansea win all the way, think it will be 2-1, though 3-0 could well be on the cards. Sorry Sunderland but Monk does not do complacency, he'll be taking nothing for granted, and is on a top 6 mission for this season............. "No mercy: Garry Monk says Swansea City must be ruthless against Sunderland. GARRY Monk has told Swansea City they must show no mercy against Sunderland today — because the Black Cats would not pity them." - EP Great thread by the way, and all the very best for the season except today,
Nowt special, because moping about our plight and being influenced by what the press and self appointed experts are saying is not part of my belief that the team is as bad as portrayed. Plus DA's English is open to misinterpretation to suit anybody who has not dealt with the Dutch in the past. Him and vGaal give some mystifying answers and the get misreported such as the whole team is up for sale just because he said "if a player wants to go he can", probably meaning if he doesn't want to play for Sunderland he can sling his hook. The past two games are just that, and to keep on using them as a yard stick when we had a new CB pairing, a new midfield pairing, Catts taken off by accident etc is just grist for the misery mill. Muck and nettles over the next couple of games will steady us. Seen it, heard it, lived it X 3, so used to it.

Gomez any good these days? He was with us under Martinez when we were in the Championship, hell that seems yonks ago now..............
Lots of our supporters seem very optimistic on our board and I get that but I think Sunderland players will be up for this one - or at least they should be. But we're a good team these days so should score. 1-1.
I don`t know what to make of this tbh. It could be that Swansea have no better time to play us than this. If they get stuck in, score early and the wheels come off (again) we could be scudded (again). On the other hand the recent comments and media attention might get the penny to drop and the players get their act together. I somehow get the feeling there`s a few of those players on strike 3. The fans losing patience and so is DA.
