Looks like Juventus are going to make Pogba "turn Chelsea down" and Everton may make Stones "turn Chelsea down" also
Do not be deceived, Blind is our first choice CB on the left. I know everyone is not convinced yet, even me too. But LVG wants a left footed CB and Blind is left footed. He wants a ball holding and passing CB and Blind is the best passing CB we have in our team. Smalling/Jones will be the brutal no nonsense CB (vidic) while Blind will be the calm ball passing CB ( Ferdinand). I like Rojo, but he is more like Jones, brutal and not afraid to put a foot in dangerous situation, his ball passing is suspect though.
I think you have Smalling in the wrong category, he is becoming a very refined centre back and I can see him filling the Rio/Pallister role. We have quite a few now that may develop into the Vidic/Bruce role but not many left footers, Rojo is the nearest at the moment.
Right, but as it is now smalling is the best all round CB we have so his place is secured. Knowing LVG wants a left footed CB who can also keep the ball his best option for now is blind and I think Blind will always be his first choice. Unless of course he gets injured and rojo comes in, does extremely well then he can take his place.
Would be interesting to see what happens if Shaw gets injured, I happen to think Blind is better at left back so who plays there, Rojo or Blind?
At least Valdes isn't there to get in de Gea's ear Nice to see they all seem to be friends off the pitch, it can only be good for the squad.
I really hope this is true, supposed to be a direct quote from LvG so could be UNITED NOT SELLING DE GEA Louis van Gaal says Manchester United will not sell David de Gea this summer. According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid will make one last attempt to sign the goalkeeper before the window shuts on September 1. But Van Gaal said today: "I think when Manchester United wants a player he shall come, besides when a club is not selling. It is the same with us. We are not selling De Gea." FlagShare LikeReply
I would prefer to see Blind there if Shaw gets injured. Rojo also does a decent job there. But LVG is full of mystries, don't be surprised if he plays young there. For whatever reasons he believes the top priority a no 10 should have is speed, hence his reluctance to play mata as no 10.
The No10 should have speed of thought (see Mata/Herrera and possibly Januzaj), I think van Gaal want's two wide men with speed to counter attack, hence the interest in Neymar
Lol at the interest in neymar. Don't tell me u believe that crap. Well every manager will want neymar in their team, but the possibility of us signing neymar is less than 1% (we have a better chance of signing Muller, bale or even Ronaldo). And the possibility of nermar shining in the epl is 50/50. Mata has a speed of thought but lacks pace, that is why LVG is reluctant playing him as no 10. Januzaj has pace but lacks the speed of thought of mata, likewise Memphis. Memphis, januzaj and even young has a better chance of playing no 10 in LVG's book. If we had signed pedro, LVG would have played him as no 10, not as a winger.
The had a meaning You don't need to be fast to play #10, you just need a brain. Memphis is our "fast" wide left attacker, who will be his counterpart on the right?
I can understand our interest in Mane. This team is now getting some pace and turning defences round. I know that Bruges is not a good example but we have two fast full backs, with smalling no slouch in defence. In the middle we have Memphis janujaz and young who are not bad. Morgan can move too. The only slowish players are mata, rooney and Bastian. I like the way blind, Bastian/carrick and Mata ensure we have creators and ball passers in the key sections of the system.
I didn't notice it was a humor. I think LVG is looking for a fast right winger but not his main priority hence why he didn't take the Pedro's deal seriously. LVG likes mata and doesn't want to drop him, but he also is not ready to play him through the middle. Signing a right winger now would mean dropping mata rather than play him through the middle. So unless someone extraordinarily good becomes available, LVG will not bulge. I think Muller is just the ideal player he wants. Even if we sigh name, he's not gonna start too many games as he will compete with mata on the right.
Everyone's rejected us. Everyone except you that is. You just can't keep away. Are Chelsea so boring you literally have nothing to talk about? Your hypocrite moron of a manager has been making a tit of himself once again and this doesn't concern you? Ironically you know next to nothing about anyone outside Chelsea yet only speak about those not connected. It all contributed to this image of a ****** we all have Oh no! I has bitten. Sound the alarm
The 'interest' in Neymar is almost certainly linked to the fact that Woodward was in Barca to negotiate, but we have denied we were negotiating over Pedro so we must be after another one of their attackers. Sun logic: 2 + 2 = MAKE SOMETHING UP QUICK
