I must have posted this on at least half a dozen "Friday Night Is....xxx topic" music threads" over the last couple of years. Every time, this number is appropriate. In this case, many have missed out. Apart from the devastating impact of big business on the livelihoods and life in general of local communities, the poor sod shown towards the end of the video lost his life - he lobbied against the desecration of his fellow citizens environment & was murdered by big business interest. For those who are unfamiliar with this lady...the attached is a fantastic concert she gave in Spain a few years ago. No doubt not to everyone's taste, but she is wonderful IMHO. Canadian lass too. One of the band members is a pal of my old lady...he also played with Bruce Cockburn - a few tracks I posted above. Apologies for the indulgence...most of you are asleep by now anyway !
