This is such a great song and record and this is a good piece about it ... http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/may/05/how-we-made-up-the-junction-squeeze
"Chris would leave lyrics for me on a silver breakfast tray, and I’d go off and put tunes to all this wonderful stuff." Top stuff
This is truly the greatest live performance ever recorded. Such perfection and skill, have never seen a band tighter than Dire Straits at this moment in time. But they still play with the freedom and feel a live performance needs to be great. It's even QPR related as it's recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon. Ok that's maybe a stretch but a fantastic concert place anyway.
This is a great website for researching hits at certain times in the charts or for just looking up songs etc ... http://www.everyhit.com/index.html
Cheers mate Good to be back on the music thread, work has nearly killed me of late. Time to make priorities, work less, post more music
Nice one. I have missed your input on our music thread Norway. We are all a slave to the wage so music resets my mind, also a QPR win of course
Ok this is turning out to be fun. I'v never heard of this band or song before, having looked it charted well in September 72 and fair play to them please log in to view this image
I'm sure you've heard of Sweet UTR's - Blockbuster, Ballroom Blitz etc.... But the '70s is the Ramones
