Its that last point that concerns me most.

They didn't try for him at all the last 2 games.

I'm still confident that there'll be some new faces, but as to their quality, I'm less sure about that.

If the Guzman rumours are true and he's not interested, then that may, just may, reflect a wider opinion amongst players and agents that we have a toxic brand.

Like I said on another thread though, everything is just rumours and speculation. We'll all know a whole lot more in 12 days or so.

If they won't play for the manager, then why did they do so with so much commitment a few games ago, same manager, against Arsenal ? What is in their heads ?

Marvellous kick up the arse by the manager. You can forgive a bloke for not being good enough, but never for not giving enough. Your players have been lazy sods so far. Good move by him I reckon.

Like I said earlier Sombrero, it only counts if they give a ****. I'm still to be convinced they do.

If they are not trying on the pitch I would be making there life hell during the week for training etc. Get them doing stuff they hate or longer hours training etc. If we could fine the b.s.a.ds I would be all for that also. The players hold all the power and I hate that like.

FFS everybody is just recycling misery here without acknowledging any FACTS.. We got Lens who was DAs choice, missed out on a international CB who was then wasn't coming, then a striker fails a medical, so how many other deals have been close or still in the offing?.

If things were as bad behind the scenes as some want them to be then believe me DA would have been off like a shot and his employment record tells us that. What we KNOW is that he must have seen sufficient quality here last season for him to come back also, taking his nationality into account, he will not suffer fools or sanction signings without the final say.

His way of saying he was not happy about performances was probably lost in translation and in his post match interview last week he was trying to say he has never seen some of the players he chose playing so badly. Had he been British he would have said that those performances were the worst he has seen from a given player.

I am no happy clapper and tend to be more realist than some but new players in essential positions, a manager trying to get a new formation takes time and we have had two games looking for it. Posetivity needed now not endless doom and gloom.

Not saying i disagree but for someone saying we should all use facts you make quite a lot of assumptions your self. The only facts available are that we have lost our first 2 games in horrendous fashion and we have spent about 15 million and sold between 6-12million (6-9 for CW and 3 Gyan money). And then although not fact I am expecting another 4-5 from the sale of Giac. This at a time when everyone even DA realised we needed investment and heavy investment.

These are the facts so I think people have a reason to be worried and to be voicing this worry.

Another fact is that we have a very experienced manager and the transfer window is still open and we are only 2 games in. I was very hopeful after the Leicester game that investment would be made, so much so i had a little wager with my brother saying we will spend another 20 million. The longer this has went on the less i believe this will happen to now feeling that there is no chance. I HOPE i am wrong.

I was at the game last week and I hope the crowd this week get behind all the players as it wasnt nice last week and these players look very weak minded and crumble at the sign of any criticism which only makes things worse.

Heres to 3 points today !!! we will see an improvement i think but whether this will be good enough remains to be seen.
