Question.....If Rosberg takes pole and has to fly out before the race would his replacement driver be on pole too? I think that development would be really interesting.. Has it ever happened before? Maybe one of you more experienced guys who have those stats would llke to shed some light on this. I think everyone would be interested in what would happen in that event. Thanks in advance guys...
It would be the same as the Bottas incident in Melbourne, Once quali starts you can't replace your drivers. If your driver pulls out after quali the reserve can't even start from the pitlane.
If it's a Mercedes one-two in quali, is Rosberg really going to fly off and let Hamilton what'll most likely be an uncontested win? Would suck to lose the title by that.
I wouldn't say I disagree (obviously it's his choice), but there's no need for him to be there at all, he did his bit almost nine months ago. It would show a complete lack of desire and commitment if he didn't turn up to yet another grand prix weekend.
Would you rather tell your kid that you weren't there at their birth, or that you lost a world title because you went to the birth?
On a track where overtaking was poor. Not general public. Joe blogs like me don't have multi million dollar backers like he does.
The tyre started failing through Eau Rouge (good job it didn't let go then). Seemed a gradual failure and then it just went bang.
Where has this Red Bull pace come from at a track that is meant to blunt them due to its emphasis on the PU?
