TBF, I've probably been clean as long as you, not watched anything since Arrow, Flash, Gotham, etc all finished about three months ago.

    You not watch True Detective?

It was pretty head ****y and unnecessarily complex, but I thought it was okay.

I'm going to give it a go sometime, I have low expectations of it there's no way they can get close to the first one.

Its not as good mate, I have to admit.
I am a ****ing stickler for knowing the shows I watch inside and out, for example there isn't a single Game of Thrones character whose name I could not tell you instantly. Even down to the Kingsguard guys like Ser Meryn Trant, Ser Boros Blount etc.

But True Detective Season 2, fuuuuuck.....everytime they say a name I found myself thinking "Who?" and would have to google their name and get a pic so I could say "Ahhhh that ****" who appeared in one scene 3 episodes ago.
Even now I am not completely sure of all that went down, there seemed to be 2 plots running side by side, that were "kinda" related.

It was definitely too complicated. Too many names, too much emphasis characters who's names I couldn't remember. And then the plot reveal with all those names and who was doing what, meant I had very little clue who had actually done what and why.

The second season was okay, the first was a classic.
The wire is the best and that was "cop stuff"

If you like pirates - Black Sail is a good series, minus the odd poor bit of acting.

    Bad move <whistle>

No seriously I only saw it 2 years ago and it takes a bit of time to get recalibrated to the time it was etc but it's great stuff in the end

Season 2 is at the docks. Season 3 is the worst imo and season 5 is just funny.

The central tenantes is nothing ever changes

i didn't like the school part.

    hamsterdam was good.

Season 5 was a bit all ove rthe place. i personally didn't like marlon stanfield and the boxing bit....

there were lots of side stories that kind of went nowhere as part of a things very change no matter how are someone might try kind of gig.

the serial killer stuff was bizarre.

i watched if first going.. **** pagers WTF.. how old is this **** the first time i watched it
