I signed it. Mostly to annoy a couple of mates who are hammers fans but also because it stinks to high heaven.
There are EU rules on fair competition as well as UEFA ones. There was talk of seeing if Swansea got an unfair advantage. Yet down the years clubs all over Europe have either had stadiums built by councils or had them improved for tournaments with government money which was in effect money supplied by other EU countries contributions.
How much will a public inquiry cost British tax payers? Surely that's just good money after bad.... I don't see it as very different to us and the KC.
FFP rales for clubs playing in Europe are different to ones playing domestically as well. The bigger clubs are treated more favourably which is no surprise.
The KC didn't cost theBritish taxpayer anything, it was paid for with the profits from the sale of a council owned concern, so it is different. The Olympic stadium was a monumental cock up. To be expected with all the quango types involved with talk of legacies and other nonsense.
Not all taxpayers. Money raised from the sale of shares in Hull's telephone exchange is not taxpayers' money from central funds. If that were the case people of Hull could not claim it is "our" stadium as it would be every taxpayer in the country's stadium.
Couldn't care less about this stadium move proposal, it doesn't concern us. It's just a case that the vocal minority against this proposed stadium move are far bigger than the not so vocal minority supporting it. The vast majority of fans do not find this proposed stadium move proposal worth bothering about - that's a majority. I don't think it's an important issue to the majority of fans
Due to the cock up the Olympic committee, well done Seb, made. West Ham could negotiate a fantastic deal for themself. If the stadium was near to Spurs they would have done the same. Ditto Chelsea. West Ham were the only game in town. Fair play to Brady she showed what a good business woman she is.
I don't agree - I think it does concern us. West Ham are a competitor club who are apparently getting a financial boost at the expense of the Taxpayer which gives them an unfair advantage. The Official Supporters Trusts of 8 London clubs have all come together to sponsor this petition so that a proper investigation can be made.
A vocal minority see it as a big issue - I don't have a problem with that. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.I don't think it's an important issue to the majority of fans.
Below is a link to the official press release on this. The petition is sponsored by the Official Supporters Trusts of 8 London clubs and nearly 20,000 votes have been obtained so far. The press release also includes a link to the petition for all those who want to vote. For those who, like Suitedandbooted, can't "give a toss" the answer is simple - don't vote . http://www.thstofficial.com/thst-ne...t-ham-lldc-deal-for-rental-of-olympic-stadium
The vast majority simply do not care. Does there always hve to be a noisy minority who are just intent on ruining things for others?
