First I'd like to thank gad because without him none of this woud be possible.

 

Good to see that interest in the Headline Game, the premier game thread on NOT606, is still high. Tensions have been running high as legal action has followed legal action behind the scenes. Who would have thought Panthro would seek to take preventative injunctions out to prevent the true and correct decision being broadcast. Who would have thought Oh Be Have would seek legal redress for claims made in relation to alleged wait issues. Who would have thought Chippy could even spell legal after all the lagers he's consumed whilst on holiday in Turkey.

Well, now the truth can be presented. Before doing so let it be known that this Game will always do what is right. Let it be known that the this Game intends to uphold the highest standards. Let it be known that this Game stands for integrity, honesty and truth. And let it be known that this Game will always defend the little man, the man in the street, joe public against Big Brother, the State, those who would crush democracy. This, ultimately, is the Game for you and you and you.

Who won? I hear you ask. Who won the first Headline Game of the season. Well, let's look at the scores.

The Two Ronnies got 5 votes. So does that make him the winner. Unfortunately not. I mention above legal actions taken against the Headline Game. Such action clearly in breach of the principle of fair play is punishable under JPF Rule 23.4.8 by disqualification. Whilst The Two Ronnies didn't instigate and wasn't a party to any of the legal actions his failure to provide a witness statement at a crucial time in the proceedings which could have been fatal to the Game's defence of the actions shows without doubt that he was guilty of inaction and as such deserves no benefit to fall upon him as a result of "others" actions. It is, therefore, with sadness that I am left with no alternative but to disqualify him.

So, does that mean Shakes the Peare wins. Again the answer is no. Why you may ask. If you do, then it is clear that you lack the ability of insight. The Ides of March. This is a clear reference to that famous George Clooney film made in 2011 about a brutal presidential race where an idealistic campaign staffer discovers a secret that could alter the race for his candidate. Clearly, given such a blatant breach of the Rules Shakes the Peare cannot be allowed to win. Well, in a Game based on integrity he has not.

We are then left with Chippy on one vote and that vote was from himself. If anyone has watched and read the sad descent into alcoholism of Chippy whilst on his Turkish travels they would realise that, firstly, Chippy didn't even understand what he was doing when he voted and, secondly, he isn't aware. Literally, he isn't aware.

Where does that leave us. As an independent scrutineer I have taken the important and huge responsibility to make a decision based on the Game's basic principles of fair play, integrity and honesty. Taking into account the concept of proportional representation voting systems and in particular the single transferable vote system I am extremely proud and pleased to announce that
