Why? Just play Rooney deeper where he's a bit better. He can't lead the line anymore, not like when he was early 20's and arguably at his best. Play him just off a proper cf and he'll be a lot better I believe

    Or

The player decided he never wanted to sign for Utd when Chelsea came in for him and Maureen and the Fabregas's told him London is a better place to live than Manchester and Chelsea would be a better choice of club for him.

You never added that option Trebs and lets not forget that the player had the right to refuse/choose either Utd or Chelsea and could have chosen to stay on at Barca if he'd have wanted to.

He wanted to move to United when they were the only team interested.... Then Chelsea were interested and he wanted to go there. The fact you courted him so long etc suggests you wanted him so the only reason to pull out is wage demands or he indicated he wanted to go elsewhere when he heard of Chelsea's interest (probably had his mate fabregas on the phone earlier)

Seems to be forgotten we agreed terms according to all reports. So claims of him rejecting us are way off.

The problem was between the clubs. One was messing about. Which one is purely down to how each of us sees it.

Until its revealed, which will be never, we can just bitch about it.

Barcelona clearly ****ed about though. <whistle>

Maybe he agreed terms with you... Until Chelsea came in at which point he said, yup sounds better I'll come to Chelsea instead.

Except that all the reports said he was only interested in signing for United even when rumours of Chelsea and City came along. In fact nobody on here said so either before yesterday even though both Chelsea and City had reported to have shown interest last week. And you boys always whiff a good story. But I take it you boys are on the wum anyway so nvm <laugh>

It makes perfect sense. Are you suggesting Barcelona saying we need him for another week, or another week oh and another week is t the actions of a club taking the piss? Because I am damn certain if it was United pulling that stunt you would be up in arms about it calling all sorts of people an embarrassment to the club.

its not a case of IF we went to 28 plus 2. We discussed it for quite sometime just a few days ago. I argued that it makes sense to offer lower as it shows you aren't just going to pay the asking fee right away and thus are in a better position in the future. If you pay the asking price no matter what, you end up paying 42million for a pile of **** like Mangala.

    You disagreed.

I've not bought a house. However I do know that if the seller messes about it can also end a potential sale. People who are going to be spending large sums of money don't like some dickhead playing stupid games.

It's not like it's the only house on the market. Same as Pedro was not the only player on the market.

Look, we disagree, we won't change each other's minds. Leave it at that.

Leave it at what, you conveniently ignored the main part of my post <laugh> Look at the alternative and you cant find an argument against it.

The whole thing was flawed. See my original point in that we agreed the same deal as Chelsea paid. Therefore someone was ****ing someone else about.

Very likely, no, a certainty it was Barcelona. They have previous for this kind of ****. Be it demanding buy back clauses or being unsure whether they actually want to sell or not.

In short, I did t feel like it required a response.

Everton in for Yarmalenko in £15m deal. Could be good signing, has looked dangerous on the few occasions seen him. Quick wide player.

Except it wasn't. It was simply an agreement, to which they didn't stick to in the end anyway, as Chelsea have paid 28m not 30m. The add one will as always, be subject to conditions being met.

His contractual release fee was €150m but an agreement was made that if he played less than a certain % of Barcelonas games, he would be allowed to go for €30m. Spanish clubs are known for their crazy buy out clauses, Messi's is like 2billion or something crazy.
