People pay £30-£40 a match. They can leave when they want. Not that I leave early when we're losing (I've done it once after the 3rd goal against West Brom a couple of years ago) but I can understand why people don't want to hang around when we're 3-0 down and we've played poorly.
But it's not just about winning tonight. The size of the victory (if we are to win) is important as well. That's why an early goal would be good.
Of course people can do what they like...as long as they don't mess with other people's enjoyment. After all it can be very painful. However, I always feel we are in it together....if I enjoy our victories I have to accept there will be disappointments. I don't support Saints in the good times....I support Saints.
Important thing is no away goal for them....unless we win by 3 or 4. A 2-1 victory is better than a loss, but can make life difficult in the 2nd leg.
The best thing about not conceding an away goal and winning is if we then score early in the 2nd leg (like in Arnhem) then it can effectively kill the tie.
Back to the tongue and cheek corner recollections. Lamberts first league goal for saints was away to Huddersfield. A bullet header from a corner. I would love us to score from one tonight!!
It's the most direct route from where they park their cars and is s different entrance to the reception where corporate guests an visitors arrive. Less hassle.
It's only important if you think we'll lose away. The only thing that is important is the aggregate score after two legs. It might be nice, but it's not important.
I'm about to board a flight from Glasgow to…Southampton. Too late to make the game, but look out above at around 19:45 for my FlyBe flight and give me a wave. I have a window seat.
It would be really nice if they asked for a ticket on the end of an aisle so they don't ruin the view and experience of those that choose to get full value for the same £30-40 they also paid. I find the others rude and ignorant of other paying spectators. I'm with Jen on this completely.
