The only issue is that we may not have enough midfielders. Henderson and Allen both injured and Lucas could be sold.

Leaving Can and Milner. Unless we drop Coutinho deeper or perhaps bring in Tex? ..

Can Firm play central mid? I know he's primarily an attacking mid. There's also La la, he can play central mid.

To answer myself... I googled it.

Firm was a defensive midfielder at his first club so probably could fill in to CM in an emergency for us (even if not his best spot).

Firmino is an attacking mid. Don't think he can play CM but he's talented enough to do so. We need players getting close to Benteke and making runs into the box - so I wouldn't sacrifice Firm's role as AM.

When Studge is healthy again :emoticon-0114-dull: he can accompany Benteke up front leaving more flexibility behind them.

    yeahhhhhhh you'd think that but....

    Can needs to play.

    henderson needs to play

    milner needs to play

    coutinho needs to play

firmino needs to pay his way

    so...... who you wanna drop

look... for me ok its not the end of the world or anything but we will burn out milner and henderson with this.

My first XI (when fully fit):

    Migs

    Clyne Ilori/Gomez Sakho Moreno

    Can

    Henderson Coutinho

    Firmino

    Sturridge Benteke

I know the Gomez/Ilori inclusions will raise eyebrows but I cannot stand Skrtel and I'd sooner be radical and give a talented youngsters a chance to develop then to keep persisting with that poison for another year.

No need when you can get equally out of it, giggle and fall over just by running around a ball for half a minute.
They're obviously a cheap night out.

Nothing says he has to start every game. He hasn't done anything to justify being a must-start yet.

If/when he does we need rotation. 1 out of the the front 4 rest every week would be good.

Ibe is young. I admire him greatly but don't want to burn him out.

I think if we see precisely the same line up going away to arsenal.... well.....

myopic would be a good word.

the wooner one of his favorites gets an injury the better... if he starts i'll be hoping lala rips his hamstring on 5mins.

lets be honest do you really think we could play the same starting line up, then dominate and win the game?
