Cairney's goal and celebration... http://www.skysports.com/football/n...m-cairney-scores-cracker-in-the-championship?
First game I've seen this season and feel mostly quite impressed. The first half is the best I have seen from us in a long time. We were really taking the game to Fulham and causing them all sorts of problems; this was good to see against a side who you would think would be challenging for the top 6. Hernandez looked up for the fight, Dawson and Davies look to have a good partnership and I was very impressed with Odubajo. Meyler was impressive and no nonsense in midfield and Elmo's reaction after his goal suggested he wants to stay here. As impressive as the first half was, we really need to capitalise more when we are on top and really controlling games. We needed a second goal in that first half and half time and only losing by a single goal gave Fulham the momentum to try and cause us more problems. The finish by Cairney was good but we got what we deserved from failing to clear the danger properly. Fair play to City though after that and they dug in and got the winner. Part of being a successful Championship team is grinding out a win and not buckling when your backs are against the wall. Definitely areas for improvement but it was disappointing to hear endless moaning on the Humberside texts last night. After relegation and an unsettled summer it was vital we got the points on the board, which we have done. More polished performances will hopefully come in time but we have made a good start. Tough game on Saturday but we're building up some good form. We need to start making sure we're collecting 3 points away from home.
"Former Hull favourite?" Nah mate. It was a cracking strike but most definitely midfield's fault for losing the ball initially, and not closing him down quick enough.
For all those who had a go at Aluko - it would appear he's broken into the Championship Team of the Week for the midweek games.
Fulham don't just put up the commentary for their games, they put the games online in full for free... http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2015/august/20/90-minutes-hull-city?
I can't find a download button. The video is on Vimeo and I'm sure I've downloaded videos from there before.
Very good first half and a very if-fy 2nd half. However the final result is all that matters and we won. Move on. The Fulham goal was a collective error by City and not just McGAFFer as some would have you think. Wolves and TWS chuck away 2-0 leads. Happy Days.
As others have said, very good first half performance.. we we're all over them for large spells and really, with a bit more guile should have created more chances and scored another goal. Second half we were sloppy, gifted them a goal from another mcgregor flap, but to be fair we had enough chances to clear the ball after the initial flap but didnt.. 3 points fully deserved and we go on unbeaten. It bodes well for us that we arnt playing at our best, nor do we have our best squad available (Diame, Snodgrass, possible new signings..) But we're still picking up points.
Have to agree, Greesy knocked the ball forward deliberately to collected it and was impeded by one of their players, Aluko was more culpable as he tried to be clever and turn his marker and got dispossessed
How about now? Is he still within the bounds of reality? Is he still outside? (I know it's weird to bump this thread, I was just showing my wife the time I ****ed up my use of apostrophes and remembered that Palacios was a person who existed)
