Yeah he's been a class player root <ok> Will be interesting to see how he handles it, he's certainly got the tools to be a top leader mate.

I wasn't seeing him as a captain mate, just a better batsman.

I wouldn't want to see Rooty as a captain, just yet. Plenty time for that.

It's amazing just how often being an England captain can **** up a great batsman!

Yeah mate it's a big challenge stepping up, when he did lead us last year he made a couple century's so hopefully he can continue that form and lead by example..

Joe is an excellent batter but he needs to do it away from our shores - I think he has only scored 1 ton outside England. Smith was no 1 in the world prior to this series but got found out in English conditions (don't class Lords as English btw as it panders for the funny tie/hat wearing w**kers) a great player will learn from that experience so Joe needs to do more away for me and Smith will also need to adapt to all conditions.

I didn't know that about his away form. He's got many years to sort that out!

It's crazy to think that only a few years ago smith was brought into test cricket as a spinner lol. Turned himself into a world lass batsmen and I just love his unorthodox style.

Aye he used to bat about number 8 I think but he was classed as a bowler who could bat a little bit! - reports over here are say that you are going to start using the Duke ball instead of the Kookaburra - anything reported over there?

Haven't heard anything yet mate except David Warner is Vice Captain <steam> That'll do me.. Worst decision ever..

Good Afternoon Pommy Pricks! <laugh> I see you'll probably have an unchanged line up. Not risking jimmy sounds fair. For us, Hazlewood is out and I hope Cummings gets the nod <ok>

My prediction - we'll improve on our first innings at Trent Bridge, All out for 61 ffs <cheers>

A bit gutted abd slightly jealous as my Brother in law has a ticket for the game, for tomorrow. Mind you I've told him that if we win the toss and bowl first he could be getting a refund

Weather forecast is mixed for the weekend so I expect a result Aussie. What's your feelings about this one? Personally I think whoever wins the toss this morning will have the better chance (although I predicted a 3-1 win for you guys at the start of the series). Shame but understandable about Rodgers retirement, I really like him

Haven't seen the pitch yet mate but if it's anything to go by of this series, then we are gonna struggle again. England's bowling attack has been well disciplined. Great technique & Constant good line/length and our batsmen have taken the bait.. I think I predicted 4-0 to us <doh> Rodgers, terrific batsmen and I like his old school approach. Takes his time to get in and he's been a pleasure to watch <applause> Maybe/hopefully the rest of the fellas can learn something from him.
