Rubbish, he improves them, he'd improve United, he'd improve everyone in the league (probably including City as a replacement for Navas on the right).

Yep. It gives the likes of Londons only a reason to get up in the morning. Sad really.

Bit harsh on Barca that, or did you mean Chelsea selling all their best youth to clubs who can use them?

Very true, I was worried when I thought he was going to utd as they would be serious contenders with him in their squad. He does improve chelsea just not by as much as he would utd.

He's a good player and would have improved us. Difference between top 4 and the title? Maybe. Think we have enough about us to challenge anyway but a quality addition like a Pedro would have nice.

He will improve Chelsea but I feel with Hazard being their go to man, the rest of their wingers are often forgotten about before being frozen out and ultimately sold (awaits adm joke). They have a long list of failed wingers.

I think he'll offer Chelsea just as much. Having him RW, Hazard LW and Costa in the middle is very threatening. Allows Willian to maybe move inside as well, or potentially keep him wide with Pedro and move Hazard more centrally.

Think he's a vast improvement on what they currently have in terms of a goal thread.

This on sky is interesting reading.. not many goals coming from the team other than Costa & Hazard (which I said at the start of the season) so Pedro gives them another goal scorer.

Chelsea's lack of goals is interesting. Cesc Fabregas has one goal in his last 20 Premier League games (the winner at QPR), Nemanja Matic only has one Premier League goal to his name (at Everton in the 6-3 win a year ago), Willian has one goal in his last 33 league games and Radamel Falcao has no goals in his last 14 Premier League appearances

I'd fcking drop Costa and play Pedro through the middle, but Mourhino likes his ox up front.

True, although I think he's a better quality of winger than previous ones they've brought.

In recent yeas they've brought what I'd call top 4 level wingers in Salah, Cuadrado, Schurlle, Willian, but Pedro is a level above that in my opinion.

Jose has already broke Oscar, Willian and Fabregas, Hazard seems to have escaped this being the only creative force they now have.

No matter what you say about costa, he can score and trouble defences when he doesn't and that is a great combination to allow pedro and hazard ( who can both finish) to score plenty between them. The problem is I do not think mourinho is brave enough to play 4-3-3 and it will be more like 451, so it will still be effective but nowhere near as scary as it could be.

A few days ago Jose said he had too many wingers. Wonder who is off?

It won't be, but imagine if it was Hazard off to Madrid. The reality will be One of his failed winger signings, maybe even two.

Oscar and Willian are meh. Willian is a workhorse but technically limited. Oscar is overrated imo.

Fabregas I rate highly but WTF is Jose doing to him. But I can see him linking up well with Pedro.

Pedro is not a winger, far more of an old fashioned inside right, maybe thats what LVG meant when talking about the new striker not being an out and out forward? Not that he wanted Pedro no no no must have been somebody different.<whistle>

Oscar and Willian were good players before Jose got hold of them, now neither seem to have a defined role and just look lost. Not sure what he is doing with Fabregas but he looks far from happy.
