An excellent start, yet somehow makes Brentford even more frustrating - but enjoying the moment and looking forward to Saturday and seeing this new look side in action for the first time.
Another way to look at it is that maybe the Brentford result kicked us up the arse enough to put in the performances we have since!
Or you could say we've won our home matches, drawn the away game. That's a recipe for success right there.
Cannot believe I missed the match ( Convinced it was Wedensday night) just saw Sears finish now class, So HAPPY! early days but top of the pile for now!!!!!
Lots of good performances tonight, special mentions for Bart,Niles and Skuse(yes really!)Great to see the emphasis on getting the ball down, but that's the benefit of having two proper wingers, let's hope the injury to Fraser isn't too bad.Eeh eye eeh eye......
Brilliant start to the season! There is an undeniable feel-good factor around Portman Road, which makes such a welcome change from the Keane/Jewell years. Bringing in some pace down the flanks has certainly contributed to this, as well as our stockpile of efficient and effective forwards. Obviously it's too early to draw any assumptions, as we've still got 43 games to play, but I'm pleased the side are exceeding my admittedly pessimistic expectations.
cheers gaffer! so then 100 points and 100 goals it is then....................... oh wait just checked I have the normal amount of digits on each hand and foot, better just keep chugging away before we get ahead of ourselves.
