So they have no money - aside from the £21m they've just put down and I assume they had the funds to cash the cheque on the £30m they put on the table on Monday for Stones.......but yeah proper skint, your point's proven 100% right there lad. And the article was 'fake' despite it being proven to be true hours later? What the actual ****? You're obviously suffering from a bad case of astro syndrome, go have a lie down ffs.
If United are in for Mane then at least that suggests there was some strategy behind dumping the Pedro bid. Going for pace and potential over technique and experience would be a gamble but what the ****, its the Glazer's money!
When he first came through I thought he was their equivalent of Welbeck - a decent player, came through the ranks and committed to the cause, probably liked by the manager, who the team could afford to carry a bit as he worked hard and did a job, even if he scored every few goals. But his ability to stick it out at the club after Guardiola left implies he must have had a bit more to his game than that, after all he lasted three more managers before being surplus to requirements and was replaced by Suarez, so hardly booted out in favour of anyone else. Tho I guess we'll find out if he has anything more to offer when he needs to step up and be more than just a water carrier at Chelsea.
Yes. It was fake. Its a pretty commom practice on Football media to make stuff up. They have no money. Sure they might have a small amount like Everton but like Everton they operate on a buy to sell basis. A terrible business model. Pretty sure Chelsea have already shifted a few players this summer.
@Tobes why not ask @CFC: Champions of FFP about Chelsea's net spend success. Hes constantly raving about it. Hes your man
The strategy seems to be to focus 100% on Muller as the headline signing - £60m bid lodged days before we decided to dump Pedro implies we are after him. Just a question of whether he wants to move or not, and if he's willing to try and force the issue before the window, or possibly in January.
If we got Muller then any player is gettable. Weve taken bayerns biggest talent prior to Muller so to take him would be huge. For us and bayern. Its not happening though. We only sign one German every 137 years.
Billion pound businesses like United dont plan for things. We spin a wheel and base everything off that.
A more realistic piece on the reasons we failed to sign Pedro ..... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...dro-and-left-Manchester-United-red-faced.html
Because Barcelona ****ed us about. Again. Same happened with Fabregas, who also ended up at Chelsea Also, Chelsea were the first club linked so using your 'logic' it's taken them a ****ing age and it's embarrassing. Roman/Mourinno out!
Very much this, dont forget its paper talk that woodski wendt to see Barca about buying Predro and well all fell for it.
They also say it was not his only reason for going there United insist that it was their manager who decided against moving for Pedro despite executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward having flown to Barcelona on Monday to discuss the deal. It was not the only piece of business on the agenda for Woodward
I said it before Pedro is not our priority .. we need a Striker and a CB is Pedro what chelsea need atm? Not sure
