Andre Gray is a very good player. Fee is probably 3m higher than it should be but every club in the championship has been trying to sign him so thats why the fee has been inflated. I just don't get why he would want to join Bristol City, surely he'd prefer to stay at Brentford or push through a transfer to a club that'll be in the hunt for promotion.
Great news on Inler. A real coup for us to get a player of his ability and experience. I assume he won't be fit enough to to feature on Saturday?
At long last its officially done. Reported to be a £3m deal, rising to £5m. http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/gokhan-inler-joins-leicester-city-2631597.aspx Subject to registration, would be available on Saturday.
Inler has signed and will wear the number 33 shirt He is Cambiasso's replacement and im more then happy with Inler. Ive always been impressed with him whenever i have seen him play
I would like to see a bit of competition for Albrighton, Mahrez and Schlupp on the wings and then were done
Yh NP and Ranieri have got the recruitment right so far One major issue we had last season was lack of game management and its something Nigel and Cambiasso spoke about. Thats what made Cambiasso so important With the Switzerland and Austria captains signed aswell as Huth, Okazaki and Benalouane signed we have some real experience to add to the youth and flair
... enjoy the ride people... best squad arguably ever in the club's history and players responding very positively to the manager's philosophy... no reason why we can't kick on markedly ...
Thats a bold statement from you FF! though you have seen more squads than me. I'd say it as exciting as MO'Ns squad was. Taggart, Elliott, Walsh, Lennon, Savage, Izzet, Guppy etc...
It's got to the point where I can't think of a realistic signing that would genuinely improve the first team.
Anyone else notice how... Schmeichel Benalouane Huth Morgan Schlupp Albrighton Kante Inler Mahrez Vardy Okazaki easily transforms into... Schmeichel Benalouane Huth Morgan Albrighton Kante Inler Schlupp Mahrez Vardy Okazaki or... Schmeichel Benalouane Huth Morgan Albrighton Kante Inler Schlupp Mahrez Okazaki Vardy without having to use a bench consisiting of... Schwarzer, Wasilewski, Fuchs, Drinkwater, King, Kramaric and Ulloa Providing these players play as well as we know they can, I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest we can finish in the top half.
Ranieri said thats one of the reasons he signed Benalouane because we can easily change systems without changing players
Think FF was emphasising the 'squad'. I cant remember a stronger one that we have currently. First team and a sub - yes, we have had stonger. Squad - this would be it.
