Elphick was lucky it was in the first 5 minutes so the ref wasn't allowed to book him

Gomez got a yellow for far less

Booking for a so called holding in the opposition penalty area? You are now being more stupid than your usual self.

It's pointless to drag this out, it's all over and done with now. All I'll say is that we can't know whether or not Lovren was "uninterested in heading the ball", but if that's the case we might as well shoot him now. Neither can we know how much pressure was on him which prevented him from jumping so it's all speculation.
We'll each have our own opinion and it's futile trying to change that of another person simply by pushing one's own.

Yes, there are some biased on here- equally there are some who will jump at every opportunity to criticise in, what I assume is, an attempt to appear unbiased.

The sycophantic praising of Rodgers is as bad as the constant criticising. Let's be honest and say we were lucky to get the points.

Otherwise we'll all be like Rodgers seeing 'fantastic ' performances in every match..

    Publicly Brendan Rodgers cannot say
anything derogatory about Liverpool. His inner
    mind matters so much.

  9. We were lucky to get the points. I've said a few times that their goal should have stood and our shouldn't <ok>

I prefer to see it as supporting our team. <ok>
He's our manager for now, and while he is I'll be supportive. That doesn't mean being blind to any faults, but neither does it mean looking for faults in every single aspect of what he does.
I'd prefer a balanced discussion on all the good and bad in our team, but too often all we get on here is trench warfare.

    good call.

I've given rodgers lots of praise. I think he is mostly a spoofer though.

Not sure what you mean by that- bullshitter, or fraud?
Clearly this season is make or break for him. There are mitigating factors for the ups and downs of the previous ones but at this stage he's had long enough to assemble the best group of players that we can afford and that want to play for us. He's also had enough time to get used to the club and put his individual mark on it, so from now on he must take the responsibility for success or failure.

    bullshiter mostly.

He has twice found a system but it took him months to find it.

he talks a lot about a lot of things but rarely does it line up with the evidence on the pitch.

you can see some of the elements he talks about but then a lot more of it is very standard fare.

He certinaly has had everything possible given him this year from back room teams to every player desired so if he can't get results there is no excuse.

i stil lsay signing balotelli has defined him already... only trophies can remove that

He's definitely a bullshitter in the way he talks.
I don't really like that corporate-speak stuff he come out with, but I don't think it's important as such. It's what he gets out of the players that matters more to me- not how he does it, or how he presents himself through the media.
As I said, there were circumstances largely beyond his control which contributed to the roller-coaster of recent seasons, but he's had long enough now to get it together. Make or break.
He's our manager and his fate is inextricably linked with ours at the moment. I want success for him because that means success for us- I don't want him to fail just so we can say "told you so".

    hmmmm...

half self inflicted.. some i'd forgive as learning some not.

I'm not sure if he does or doesn't get the best out of the players either..

as I said to jimmy before the season starts never lose your high standards as unless we cling to them we will be mid table.

The thing is for me i can see exactly how this is going to end. i'll be there watching every minute and kicking every ball but i know whats going to occur.

Are you going to give us the benefit of your oracular wisdom, or are you just waiting to see what happens then say you were right? <whistle>

    my signautre saids it

Its only going one way under rodgers.

he will win nothing and the belief of the players is lacking under him. he will get a good run here and there but 6th is his lot.

he'll be sacked by end of season.. simply put ever good side he meets is fitter, faster, more solid and more threatening. he can catch one or two on his day but over the course his record is such tat actually delivering when it counts is not going to happen.

    there... happy enough?

    <cheers>

He's neither a God nor Satan. He has bad ideas and we have long lasting slumps... But he does eventually learn from his mistakes and has proven to be tactically evolutionary.

He's neither one of the worst nor one of the best managers in the league...

Brodge is somewhere in the middle. Makes mistakes but isn't overly terrible. Could we do better (Ahem Klopp) almost certainly... But he's better than many.
